This is idiocy – he openly admitted that he killed Parcell. There was no immediate threat and he had never even been near her prior to the murder – the law does not permit vigilante actions under any circumstances.
It makes for sensationalist writing. Maybe write about the fact that the defense attorneys are engaging in questionable methods and the fact that there is no evidence that either the convict or Mello had any idea these horrible things were happening to the child. On the contrary the only evidence is that Mello was a vengeful person who wanted his daughter to himself, makes one wonder why
Or the fact that the sitting solicitor allowed defense attorneys to interview her prosecutors about pending litigation , seems like she may have done this on purpose to keep from having her office participate in any future proceedings.
