There’s a reason you are a “former legislator”. The hypocrisy and the all waste from our state govt is sickening. Fund core functions….yes. The earmarks, special projects, corporate welfare(Scout, Panthers bill) is where the problems are. If your city wants a dog park then let your city and it’s citizens fund it. Opera houses, sports complexes…the same. The problem stems from the ability of legislators to steal money(lets call it what it really is) from all other citizens to help fund their pets. Most of which the rest of SC citizens will never see or enjoy. Basic civics 101, it simply is not the job of govt to provide entertainment or fund business. Remember kiddos taxation is theft or as it should be known, govt subsidized extortion.
