It’ll be overturned on appeal. No way a nonparty to a civil case will be abused like Kelly has done here.

Hopefully, the days of getting away with everything and anything so long as you attack Alex Murdaugh, on the side or as a full-time occupation, are over.
Judge Kelly has shown courage against the Malicious Mandy Matney Mafia (“MMMM”). I hope this judge or any other judge who hears the underlying civil case shows similar courage against the theory of the case which is as stupid as the motive theory in the now-vacated Murdaugh murder convictions.
Some other so-called journalists in South Carolina deserve some punishment, too.
Can’t just punish people over whom the courts has acquired personal jurisdiction?
Well! How about that confidential evidence-viewing party or whatever Becky Hill threw for journalists, then lied about in the hearing before Jurist Toal, then later admitted to having perjured herself (that is Becky Hill’s self) about it?
I used to give Anne Emmerson a pass because she looked like a working girl scraping a living on the outer borders of journalism.
But insisting on framing and re-framing the innocent is my red line.
Here is what I posted in the last hour to Anne Emmerson:
How many more areas will this charlatan guest of yours pretend to be an expert in?
She’s a jury expert!?1 She’s a human lie detector!?! She’s a teacher!?! She’s an author!??
Is she a real rocket scientist, too?
If you and your guest were so clever, why didn’t y’all detect Becky Hill’s lies when Becky Hill FALSELY testified that she did not invite the press to see confidential evidence and later admitted she had lied about that?
Were YOU, Anne Emmerson, among that press at the secret evidence viewing party? Or are you sore at having been excluded?
Alex Murdaugh has every right to feel contempt for Creighton Waters, who is STILL trying to frame Alex. But the simple and more likely explanation is that Alex was uncomfortable in all those shackles and had a dry mouth.
