Interesting, maybe even ironic, that South Carolina’s Republicans voted for Wilson because, “he was the adult in the room” among the candidates, “didn’t get down in the mud,” and avoided “tit-for-tat name-calling.” Apparently SC Republicans valued those traits in a candidate for Governor, but when it came to past Presidential elections, they took just the opposite position. Wilson should be commended for his integrity, dignity, and good manners, unlike some other Republican leaders.
