I agree – I have checked out those facebook followers though I have been blocked from posting on her facebook page. There is also a contingency on twitter that are in her corner. What gets me is that the majority of the people that post in favor of Nikki Haley is from out of state – interesting huh? The majority of people from SC that really “know” Nikki Haley do not like her and do not support her.
Haley’s Facebook page is the Pyongyang of social media. I’ve seen comments removed and people banned for asking simple, honest, non-accusatory questions, just because it fleshes out some of the utter bullshit posted there. If it isn’t “U GO GURL!!1” then it isn’t welcome.

South Carolina (thanks to the Conservatives in the state) has one of the fastest-growing economies in the U.S. The Palmetto State has one of the fastest growing manufacturing sectors in the region and nation, according to a report from the U.S. Commerce Department.
South Carolina’s 2012 Real Gross Domestic Product growth rate was 2.7%. That put it above the national average of 2.5% and the Southeastern regional average of 2.1%.
Indicators locally look good, too.
The report showing South Carolina’s strong economy was released by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis. It ranked the state’s economy as the twelfth fastest growing in the nation.
South Carolina is tied with North Carolina as the fastest growing state on the East Coast. South Carolina also has the fastest-growing manufacturing GDP on the East Coast.
The improvement has occurred as South Carolina leaders have had to fight federal government assaults. The state has been in court against the Obama Administration on issues ranging from the National Labor Relations Board actions against state jobs brought by Boeing to voter integrity laws that the federal government opposed.
“South Carolina is outpacing the region and nation in GDP growth metrics,” said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. “This tells me that our strategy is working: grow manufacturing, grow jobs. The race is on.”
South Carolina’s Real GDP growth rate in 2011 was 2.2 percent. Gross domestic product is the market value of final goods and services produced within a region.
S.C. Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt. said manufacturing GDP in South Carolina grew 8.5% last year compared to the 7.8 percent U.S. Rate.”
Since January 2011, South Carolina has recruited more than $9 billion in capital investment and more than 23,000 jobs in the manufacturing sector, Hitt said.
Hitt also said the news helps recruit new business investment to the state.
