He’s a good, honorable man; I hope he recovers. But I also hope he retires. We need a fire-breathing budget hawk Republican who will get in the trenches, throw punches, swing for the fences and call out the warmongering globalist neocons. Furthermore, anyone who has held what may be the among the top 20 most conservative house districts in all of Congress can do this without fear of losing a swing election. Wilson just doesn’t have that kind of fire in the belly – at least for the last 10+ years. He should be honored for who he is, and what he has accomplished (although it could have been so much more) and retire gracefully.

(sigh) – you’re probably right. That species seems to have died off under George W. and never recovered. But a guy’s gotta wish.
What did he ever accomplish? Every two years he sticks his head out of a hole in the ground and says two things; “Joe means jobs” and “I support our veterans”. That’s it. He does nothing else for two whole years, until the next election. The sheep vote for him and so it goes until the next election. Oh, he did want to build a statue of Volodymyr Zelenskyy at taxpayer expense, in DC. Gee, we should be so grateful.

And when you’re back to work how about remember the 2400 US service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan, including 61 who died during Trump’s tenure. For extra credit remember it was Trump who negotiated with those terorists freeing 5000 Taliban and then didn’t have the balls to withdraw as he had promised many times.
