While the mainstream media – and this news outlet – breathlessly reported on the details of former U.S. president Donald Trump‘s latest indictment, it is worth remembering there is another big scandal unfolding in and around our nation’s capital.
That scandal appears to be escalating, too … whether the government censors like it or not.
Last week, I reported on the collapse of a federal plea deal for Hunter Biden – son of U.S. president Joe Biden. This development was significant for several reasons. First, it means the controversial, sweetheart agreement Biden was set to receive from prosecutors on charges he defrauded the federal government out of more than $100,000 – and illegally owned a .38 Special Colt Cobra handgun and used drugs – is on hold.
Second, it means attempts by the federal government to preemptively shield the president’s son from future charges – including potential charges related to alleged influence peddling – are also on hold. U.S. district court judge Maryellen Noreika of Delaware specifically questioned the “broad immunity” the proposed agreement would grant Biden related to other investigations – including those related to business dealings involving his father.

This news outlet has written extensively about Biden’s family scandals in the past – particularly those tied to his role in Eastern Europe during the administration of former president Barack Obama. Our audience will recall how Joe Biden bragged on camera in January 2018 about getting Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin fired from his post. Specifically, he discussed how he threatened to withhold a billion dollars worth of U.S. loan guarantees if Shokin wasn’t removed from office.
“I said I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars,” Biden said. “I said you’re not getting the billion – I’m gonna be leaving here … in six hours, if the prosecutor is not fired you’re not getting the money.”
“Well son of a bitch – got fired,” Biden added, pausing for dramatic effect.
At the time of his ouster, Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas company that was facing global scrutiny for alleged money laundering operations. Bursima had previously appointed Hunter Biden to its board and given him a huge payday.
The Bidens were allegedly engaged in similar influence peddling in neighboring Romania.
All of this occurred, incidentally, after the Obama administration effectively staged a coup in Ukraine – collaborating with numerous groups (including actual Nazis) to overthrow the nation’s democratically elected government. American taxpayers are now pouring tens of billions of dollars into Ukraine as part of an ongoing proxy war against Russia.
Earlier this week, former Biden business associate Devon Archer testified to the U.S. House oversight committee about his knowledge of the influence peddling schemes.

“Burisma would have gone out of business if ‘the brand’ had not been attached to it,” Archer said, according to an oversight committee release.
Who was “the brand?” Biden.
“He was put on the phone to sell ‘the brand,'” Archer testified.
According to Archer, Biden was put on speakerphone more than twenty times during business meetings involving his son – who referred to his powerful father as “my guy.”
Biden also held meetings on behalf of his son’s business interests while in office, according to Archer.
“Devon Archer’s testimony confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved,” committee chairman James Comer said. “Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family. When Joe Biden was vice president of the United States, he joined Hunter Biden’s dinners with his foreign business associates in person or by speakerphone over twenty times. When Burisma’s owner was facing pressure from the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company for corruption, Archer testified that Burisma executives asked Hunter to ‘call D.C.’ after a Burisma board meeting in Dubai.”
Archer’s testimony confirms what most already knew – or at least suspected. Readers will recall emails found on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop revealed contacts between then-vice president Biden and his Ukrainian business partners. One of those emails suggested 10 percent of the proceeds of a deal be held by Hunter Biden “for the big guy.”

“Why did Joe Biden lie to the American people about his family’s business dealings and his involvement?” Comer continued. “It begs the question what else he is hiding from the American people. The (oversight committee) will continue to follow the Bidens’ money trail and interview witnesses to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised and corrupt, and our national security is threatened.”
Congressional Democrats were not impressed, referring to the allegations as “false innuendo.”
“Republicans have spent seven months investigating Hunter Biden and they have yet to find ANY evidence connecting Joe Biden to Hunter’s business dealings,” U.S. congressman Dan Goldman of New York tweeted.
Goldman also challenged House Republicans to release the official transcript of Archer’s closed-door testimony – claiming it would exonerate the Biden family.
The White House also downplayed the significance of Archer’s testimony.
“House Republicans keep promising bombshell evidence to support their ridiculous attacks against the president, but time after time, they keep failing to produce any,” a statement from the Biden administration noted.
As for Trump, he wrote on his Truth Social platform that the timing of his indictment was linked to Archer’s testimony.
“Why are they putting out another fake indictment the day after the Crooked Joe Biden SCANDAL, one of the biggest in American history, broke out in the Halls of Congress?” Trump wrote.

You know Will Folks loves sitting at his computer looking at Hunter Biden’s dick pics….reminiscing about his days as TRav’s scrub.
Why do you people keep lying about this? Did you even read the transcript of Devon Archer’s testimony? It was a total disaster for Republicans. It was so bad they lied about it before finally releasing the Transcripts, even trying to imply the Trump indictment was to distract from the Archer testimony. Why would Biden want to distract from Archer’s testimony, when what he actually said was Hunter Biden was trying to sell the illusion of access to his father and that Joe Biden wasn’t involved with Burisma, didn’t talk business with his son’s associates, and didn’t take bribes.
Let’s look at some of the relevant points,
First, the allegation that Biden got rid of Shokin, a Ukrainian prosecutor, because he was going after Barisma. Archer testified that he was told the pressure from Biden “was bad for Burisma, not good. Shokin was assisting Barisma in gaining access to funds tied up in London.
Second, Archer was asked, did Hunter Biden ever ask his father to take official actions on behalf of his business partners. “He did not,” Archer said. “He did not ask him — to my knowledge, I never saw him say, do anything for any particular business.”
Archer was asked to confirm that he was not aware of any policy discussion between Hunter Biden and his father or of any occasion on which he asked the then-vice president to do anything improper. “That’s my understanding,” Archer said.
Archer was asked, would he disagree with the idea that an FBI interview form that Republicans keep bringing up constituted evidence of a bribe. Yeah, I would,” Archer said, noting this sort of boasting was common in such situations. He then said he was never aware of any bribe offered to Hunter Biden or anyone else.
Look we don’t care about Hunter Biden. If he was making money off of his name, it is nothing that the Trump kids did not do on a much larger scale. Why did the Saudis give Jared 2 billion dollars? Why did the Chinese give Ivanka patents? Why did Jared’s family tell Chinese businessmen they could get green cards for anyone who invested in their real estate ventures? Why did the Saudis and other countries spend millions more each year of the Trump Presidency staying in Trump hotels than they did before and after he was President? Why did the President of Argentina get involved in a Trump Hotel project that was stalled in Buenos Aires?
If it is illegal for the child of a politician to make money by implying access to their parents, then by all means arrest them all. Put Hunter, Jared, Ivanka, Don, Jr., Eric, etc., etc in jail, and let’s be done with it. I don’t give a flip what happens to any of them. But stop the lies on top of lies, that seem to flow freely from the mouths of all Trump supporters.
And yet, not a word about the $2 billion that the Saudis gave Jared while he was also supposedly an employee of the White House. And then there are all those patents that Ivanka had rubber-stamped by the Chinese government, also while working in the White House. Did I mention that Jared couldn’t get a top-secret clearance level somehow and yet, had easy access to all top-secret documents. Nope, not a single word about THAT scandal in the GOP cover-up machinery of the right-wingnut press.
Biden & son should be indicted and tried for treason against the United States.
