CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED

Bigfoot has reportedly been spotted in rural McDowell County, North Carolina – news which prompted one upstate South Carolina law enforcement agency to issue a tongue-in-cheek warning to residents regarding the mythical creature.

“If you see Bigfoot, please do not shoot at him/ her, as you’ll most likely be wounding a fun-loving and well-intentioned person, sweating in a gorilla costume,” the Greenville, South Carolina police department noted on its Facebook page.

A Sasquatch was reportedly sighted by Bigfoot hunters at around 11:00 p.m. EDT in “a forested area” in the rural county – located approximately 100 miles northwest of Charlotte, N.C.

According to reporter Mark Price of The Charlotte Observer, members of the group Bigfoot 911 used glow sticks to lure the creature toward them.

“I turned on my headlamp and saw a large bi-pedal animal covered in hair,” one of the group’s members wrote on social media.  “Its face was solid black, no hair on it. The hair looked shaggy all over … I was able to see details of the creature … like the face, and the hair was matted and stringy. The eyes were farther apart than human eyes.”

Of course none of the group’s members managed to snap a picture of the mythical beast.

Shocker, right?
