DRAMA BUILDS …

Internet mogul Kim Dotcom – a New Zealander who claims to have collaborated with slain Democratic National Committee (DNC) data analyst Seth Rich during the #DNCLeaks scandal – issued a statement this week regarding the latest developments tied to Rich’s unsolved murder mystery.

According to Dotcom, Rich was “involved in the DNC leak.”

Such a revelation – if true – would obviously undermine allegations that the leaks were part of a broader Russian effort to influence the U.S. presidential election.

Dotcom declined to elaborate on his claim – or offer any evidence he may have in his possession in support of it – at least not until he had been guaranteed “safe passage” between the United States and New Zealand by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Mueller has been tasked by the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) to investigate allegations that members of U.S. president Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential campaign collaborated with Russian interests to influence the election.

Here, in its entirety, is Dotcom’s statement …

I KNOW THAT SETH RICH WAS INVOLVED IN THE DNC LEAK.

I know this because in late 2014 a person contacted me about helping me to start a branch of the Internet Party in the United States. He called himself Panda. I now know that Panda was Seth Rich.

Panda advised me that he was working on voter analytics tools and other technologies that the Internet Party may find helpful.

I communicated with Panda on a number of topics including corruption and the influence of corporate money in politics.

“He wanted to change that from the inside.”

I was referring to what I knew when I did an interview with Bloomberg in New Zealand in May 2015. In that interview I hinted that Julian Assange and Wikileaks would release information about Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.

The Rich family has reached out to me to ask that I be sensitive to their loss in my public comments. That request is entirely reasonable.

I have consulted with my lawyers. I accept that my full statement should be provided to the authorities and I am prepared to do that so that there can be a full investigation. My lawyers will speak with the authorities regarding the proper process.

If my evidence is required to be given in the United States I would be prepared to do so if appropriate arrangements are made. I would need a guarantee from Special Counsel Mueller, on behalf of the United States, of safe passage from New Zealand to the United States and back. In the coming days we will be communicating with the appropriate authorities to make the necessary arrangements. In the meantime, I will make no further comment.

Rich, a 27-year-old data analyst with the Democratic National Committee (DNC), was gunned down in July 2016 in what metropolitan police in Washington, D.C. have referred to as a “botched robbery.”  This despite the fact the would-be “thieves” ignored his wallet, cell phone, car keys, watch and a $2,000 necklace.

No suspects have ever been named in connection with Rich’s murder, either.

Two weeks after Rich’s death, the #DNCLeaks scandal broke – a massive data dump on whistleblowing website Wikileaks (here) that exposed a veritable “vast left-wing conspiracy” involving the DNC, the campaign of eventual nominee Hillary Clinton and supplicant members of the mainstream media.

As a result of thousands of leaked emails, Democrats were caught red-handed colluding with the press to secure their party’s nomination for Clinton – while demonizing populist insurgent Bernie Sanders.

The #DNCLeaks scandal served as the genesis of the “Russia hacked the election” narrative – which has been denied by Wikileaks.  It’s also been denied by Trump’s administration – which is angrily refuting allegations that his former staffers colluded with Russian interests.  Russia is also angrily refuting such allegations … accusing the American mainstream media of promoting the hacking narrative at the expense of the truth about Rich’s murder.

We’ve urged our readers to exercise caution before diving “all in” on either narrative – and to use their best judgment as more facts become available.  To that end, we would encourage Mueller to grant Dotcom safe passage so that he can provide his testimony and his evidence as part of the public record.
