Arlington, VA – All children deserve an opportunity to receive the best education possible regardless of their zip code. Betsy DeVos will be a champion of parents and students by rejecting the status quo of today’s failing system, putting quality education ahead of special interests, and advocating choice and competition at all levels.

Freedom Partners Executive Vice President James Davis Issued The Following Statement In Support Of Besty DeVos To Lead The Department Of Education:

“Students deserve a path to break out from failing schools and develop the skills they’ll need to contribute and thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy. You will find no better champion for parents and students than Betsy DeVos.

“We are extremely disappointed in Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) decision to protect the failing status quo by opposing Mrs. DeVos’ nomination to be the next Secretary of Education. Empowering parents and students with the freedom to pursue the best education is an issue that both Republicans and Democrats should agree on.

“America’s next generation deserves leaders who will fight to give them the opportunities they deserve to succeed. Betsy DeVos has been on the front lines of that fight, and it’s a shame that Senators Collins and Murkowski won’t stand alongside her.”
