PICKENS HIGH SCHOOL TAKES A PAGE FROM THE STATE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT’S PLAYBOOK …

A few months ago we pointed out that South Carolina’s Department of Transportation (SCDOT) was once again having some serious trouble keeping it between the lines …

Well … keeping the lines straight, we should say.

Looks like this problem isn’t confined to our transportation bureaucracy.

On Thursday evening, prior to a junior varsity football game at South Carolina’s Pickens High School, visiting head coach Troy Bowe of Liberty High School took to Twitter to express his frustration with the condition of Pickens’ playing field.

Specifically its sideline …

Wow …

Gotta love that South Carolina engineering, right?

Bowe’s tweet quickly went viral – generating (as of this writing) nearly 4,000 retweets and 4,500 “likes.” It even garnered the attention of ESPN, the “worldwide leader in sports.”

Always a treat when our state makes the national news, isn’t it?
