Hiott is a POS, good riddance to him. Next that needs to go is Smith and every other liberal blood sucking lawyer/legislator. And all lobbyist and their ilk should be outlawed as well as the political insiders . The legislature should work for the citizens. We vote them in, or out. Businesses both large and small, PACs and special interest lobbies should have no power to sway elected officials or push any kind of legislation. That not a free country, that is not how our govt was meant to work. What is happening now is plain and simple corruption. Govt no longer works for citizens.

Here’s my simple question: how would killing the Invermectin bill be beneficial to Big Pharma? Anybody know?

Hiott Jr lobbies for an association of dozens of large pharmaceutical companies that have fortunes tied up in research and development of new drugs, if Ivermectin proves to work as well or better than any of their drugs then that would collapse sales of the new patented medication. There’s no money to be made curing people using Ivermectin, which has been around for decades. Also for a vaccine to get emergency use authorization there needs to be no known existing treatment. We saw both of these examples during Covid. The new expensive medication Remdesivir was hailed as a miracle while Ivermectin was villainized and in most cases could not be filled – even with a doctor’s prescription. Also, if Ivermectin was shown to be a viable option during Covid the vaccines would not have gotten emergency use authorization and billions of dollars would have been lost.
I am a former nurse anesthetist, I have a bias towards traditional western medicine and I am grateful for the many advancements in pharmacology I saw in my career, but I was stunned to see how you were censored on line if you even talked about Ivermectin and the only place I could find to fill it in the upstate was an Indian pharmacy. I was pleasantly surprised to experience a COMPLETE reversal of my serious COVID symptoms after only 8 hours of one dose. Why not make this cheap, very safe medication easily available during Covid? In my opinion there’s one answer $$$$. Add to this the fact that most cable news companies get a large portion of their advertising dollars from big pharma it’s not surprising that this information is not reported.
