Nikki Haley Punked Ted Cruz, Too

MORE TROUBLE FOR “TRIKKI NIKKI” ON THE NATIONAL STAGE …

Two days before South Carolina’s “First in the South” presidential primary, this website ran a story on some major drama tied to the eleventh hour endorsement of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida by popular Palmetto State governor Nikki Haley.

According to our sources, less than thirty-six hours before her big reveal for Rubio – Haley told former Florida governor Jeb Bush, former U.S. president George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush that she had no plans to endorse anyone in the Palmetto State’s pivotal “Republican” primary election.

She lied to them, in other words …

At the time Haley made her pledge to the three Bushes, Jeb! was making a last-ditch (and ultimately unsuccessful) bid to revive his flagging candidacy, barnstorming with his brother and other family members in a state “Republican” operatives once referred to as “Bush Country.”

Not anymore.  While Haley’s endorsement had a debatable impact on Rubio’s second-place South Carolina showing (and did absolutely nothing for him on the national level) it did help slam the door shut on Bush’s campaign – which had the backing of a huge chunk of the Palmetto State’s political establishment.

But were the Bushes the only people Haley lied to prior to her last-minute Rubio embrace?  Apparently not …

According to a pair of sources close to the presidential campaign of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas – who aggressively courted Haley’s nod prior to the South Carolina primary – Haley told him the same lie.

“She informed the Senator she would not be endorsing anyone in the race,” one of the sources told us.

Cruz finished in third place in South Carolina – a mere 1,000 votes behind Rubio (out of nearly 750,000 ballots cast).  Did Haley’s endorsement provide that narrow margin of “victory?”  Who knows … Rubio was poised to surpass Cruz in the Palmetto State according to aggregate polling taken at the time Haley’s endorsement was made.

Anyway, while Bush supporters have been exceedingly vocal in recalling Haley’s “First in the South” treachery, Cruz and his allies haven’t made a peep about it.

Why not?

Two reasons …

First, Haley’s commitment to Cruz was made one-on-one – with no witnesses.  Meaning there was no one to say who was telling the truth.  Haley’s promise to the Bushes, on the other hand, was made with multiple people in the room (which is probably one reason of the reasons it got out so fast).

Second, Cruz has been playing the “long game” in the 2016 presidential race – quite effectively, too.  He knew his organization was built for the long haul and was going to outperform Rubio on Super Tuesday and beyond – which it has done.  In other words, there was no need to detonate a relationship with Haley – whose well-known hatred of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump could conceivably come in handy for Cruz in a one-on-one “Republican” cage match.

“He’ll never trust her again,” one of our Cruz sources said. “But that doesn’t mean he won’t use her against Trump.”

Haley has been thrust on the national stage extensively in 2016 – beginning with her selection by the “Republican” leadership in Washington, D.C. to give the GOP response to U.S. president Barack Obama‘s final State of the Union address.

How’d that audition go? Eh …

Since then she’s been continuing to spout establishment talking points on Rubio’s behalf … raising some interesting proximity questions about the “Republican” consultant pulling her strings.

The nation now views Haley has being a psychotic who never plays with a full deck. Her days as a politician will end when her term expires. No fool would even hire her as a lobbyist, either.

I can’t understand why haley is even considered to be a national republican star. She flat out sux. She lies. She backstabs. She uses people. She is very untrustworthy. Why would anyone seek out her help?
She’s burned all her bridges and made enemies of over 60% of this state. Her career is over.

Well, like a thug? — Thugee: (Wikipedia) // The word “Thuggee” derives from the Hindi ?? (?hag), which means “deceiver”. Related words are the verb thugna (“to deceive”), from the Sanskrit ???? (sthaga “cunning, sly, fraudulent”) and ?????? (sthagati, “he conceals”).[5] This term, describing the murder and robbery of travellers, is popular in South Asia and particularly India.

Fits story does even make any sense. Your buying it?
She would have to be lying to Bush and Cruz while they knew she was making contradictory public statements.

Not only that, but it seems obvious that they had dinner with Haley for the purpose of seeking an endorsement and she wouldn’t make any pledge before she met each candidate. Read the National Review and develop a sense of skepticism for what fits prints.

How would making promises that contradict public statements and then breaking those promises, achieve that goal, no matter how perverse?

Bible Thumper March 8, 2016 at 8:37 am

It might be easier to understand Haley’s sucess if you understand that most of what you read about Haley in fits is a lie.

If she back stabs then why doesn’t the people she stabbed come out and attack her. Doesn’t what Will Folks does better define back stabbing. He has turned against every freind he has ever had. Sanford, Haley, Thomas Ravenel…..

People like you don’t listen. She lied TO ME at the Lexington town hall meeting right after she was first elected regarding PORS. And I worked in her first campaign.

“She flat out sux. She lies. She backstabs. She uses people. She is very untrustworthy.”

So are most of the other Republican stars.

But doesn’t that make her an ideal running mate for Rafael Cruz?

This story is obviously a lie. Does it make sense that Haley would arrange to invite each candidate to dinner at the governor’s mansion, first Cruz, then Bush, finally Rubio, but either tell one that she would not make an endorsement, especially Cruz when she had not had dinner with the other two candidates. Haley publicly announced that she hadn’t decided, but left open the possibility that she would endorse a candidate.

There was only two days between the dinner with Rubio and her endorsement. The following National Review article is totally on the record and Haley’s own public statements are perfectly clear. Why rely on unnamed sources with a axe to grind for not getting the endorsement.

Finally, there is a contradiction in your story. You say Cruz was the only one with Haley when she made that pledge, he is playing the long game and didn’t won’t to detonate a future relationship with Haley. If that is,so, then why would anyone want to tell fits now? That’s dumb.

I know people who comment here like to think they are smarter than people like Haley and Cruz, who are much more successful than they are, but you are being asked to believe Will Folks and/or anonymous people, all with axes to grind that Haley and Cruz are not only stupid, but act contrary to their own self interest, either to make political enemies or give fits a juicy story. Here is the National Review link and an excerpt.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/431670/nikki-haley-marco-rubio-endorsement-details

Columbia, S.C. — Nikki Haley made her decision over dinner. Three dinners, to be exact. They were casual, held at the South Carolina governor’s mansion, in the family quarters rather than in the formal dining room. Having long decided that she would wait until after the New Hampshire primary to make her decision, the South Carolina governor was genuinely undecided. Chris Christie, who had dropped out, is a friend, as is Jeb Bush. She was also seriously considering Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. So she invited Cruz, Bush, and Rubio to dinner. Ted and Heidi Cruz dined with Haley and her husband, Mike, as well as a few close aides on Wednesday, February 10; with Jeb Bush on Thursday, February 11; and with Marco and Jeanette Rubio on Monday, February 15.

You don’t know what “Straw man argument” means. I’m the only one making an argument at all. You accept a critical argument merely because it is made against someone you don’t like. There is no explanation why Haley would act so irrationally.

If Haley is evil, then how would these actions promote her objective? If Haley is stupid, then how do you explain her political success?

“Straw man argument” means to substitute for another argument one that can be easily defeated. I don’t do that. Fits makes claims about Haley that would only make sense if she was crazy. Those same claims make perfect sense if they are lies. Instead of a “Straw man”, I am making a direct frontal attack on fits’ and anonymous claims.

Haley is a walking talking Sotheby’s Auction House. She is trolling for prospects, be they money, jobs, or other.

At some point she slams the gavel and she takes the best offer on the table. The establishment, in DC and SC, are terrified and no doubt Haley struck a deal that will make her wealthy and healthy all the days of her life.

Haley considers herself an elite. The Kings, Queens, Czars and Dictators of the world considered themselves the same, just like the Dumocraps, and Repugnant elites!
To the Devil with them ALL! Turn them all out and then limit their terms!!!
They get elected, co-opted by the lobbyist, donors and fund raisers, catered to with wine, women and song, then they honestly believe they are above the peasants! The corruption begins the first day the election win takes place.
Throw ALL out and start over!!!!!!!!!!! Then do it again about every 8 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
If not, we’re doomed.
