I keep seeing the “remote control” information being thrown into the conversation to add a potentially nefarious option to the incident. The “Bluetooth connectivity” allows the person in the chair to control other Bluetooth devices, not the chair (according to the Permobil website). The “remote control” is wired (again according to Permobil), with about a 12-inch lead cord and is designed to allow someone to assist the person in the chair from their immediate presence. Nothing in the video gives any indication that there was a wired remote in use and Bluetooth, even if it could control the chair, wouldn’t have enough range for someone outside the pool area to “control the chair”.

The police report says Mr. Skinner attempted to “…pull his head up…” after entering the water but he was unable to. This doesn’t mean he didn’t intend to kill himself, the normal reaction to drowning is an attempt to breath – drowning is a form of suffocation. As you begin to drown, panic sets in and causes laryngospasm a condition where the larynx seals itself off – some people “drown” without ever taking in any water (dry drowning) though they usually will have some water in their lungs after death as the seal relaxes.

My understanding is that the chair was destroyed after the case was originally closed so that avenue of investigation is closed. Mr. Skinner was apparently still alive when he arrived at the hospital or at least there was some brain activity. The attempt to resuscitate him and the subsequent embalming makes it highly unlikely that a forensic examination of his body would reveal anything new. The video of the incident, according to the investigating officer, showed that no one was in the pool surround at the time of the incident. What exactly are investigators investigating?

Suzie saying Chris and Tamra “didn’t even like each other” has JP written all over it. He said the same things about Mica and her family and her friends who have spoken out against him. JP has a few “go to” come backs he uses to try to attack people and discredit them. He will question their mental status, he will make disparaging remarks about their marital relationship statuses (even making up lies about how many times someone has been married), he will attack the way they look (if they are women), and he will say they were never even liked by Mica, Chris, etc. It’s all very predictable at this point.

Thank you for your deep interest in this very unsettling case.
First Mica Miller’s mysterious demise, now Chris Skinner’s death back in 2021…I hope the guilty get deserved punishment for these crimes.
