There was no violence over the weekend. And videos showing it have been manufactured. The rally was kind and peaceful, and the black panthers were mainly reading scriptures.

It’s about time people got over this silly flag distraction and moved on. Our political leadership worked hard to put this episode of hate behind us. Everyone involved deserves a big thank you for their untiring efforts to drag our state into the 21st century. Of course the Governor was out front on this issue from the beginning and deserves a lot of credit but so does State Treasurer Curtis Loftis who spent days out on the street in the hot sun working with many of the demonstrators to bring the flag down. He received no credit from the MSM but I hope Mr. Loftis’ personal contribution in finally furling the battle flag will be recognized.
I am sure a lot of us will have Curtis Loftis on our political shit list come election time for what he did to help get our beloved flag down.
Our leadership worked hard to arrive at a compromise too.
