This book has disappeared from my library and I wish I had it back. The book was a history of the settlement of South Africa/Rhodesia by whites. The book covers over 400 years of history. The narrative compiled from documents, letters, books, newspapers and such reflected the mind-set (can’t think of another way to say it, but somebody enlighten me) of the natives. What the white settlers thought back then seems to still hold true today.
Whenever I see a black guy with my last name, I can’t help but wonder if my family used to own his.

During my short-lived biker days (anyone remember me as “BadDog” – I didn’t think you would) our group went to Helen, GA for Oktoberfest. Camping out one night a guy’s girlfriend got up during the night and came back into my tent by accident. Wow! To this day I still don’t know which one she was. But I was extremely nervous during the rest of our trip.
