Government attempts at manipulation of international “law” will not change much. If government tries to actually “do something”, the backlash from the rest of the world will certainly be huge and both covert and overt.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with keeping ICANN in Switzerland as the “go to authority” about copyrights, international patents, domain registries and such.
