THIS IS WHY SOUTH CAROLINA’S GOVERNMENT-RUN SCHOOLS WILL NEVER GET BETTER …

By FITSNEWS  ||  For those of you unfamiliar with how local government “works” in Jasper County, S.C., here’s a refresher.

It’s the third world, people … and in addition to subsidizing chronic academic failure, the state of South Carolina has also done everything within its power to suppress the region’s economy (HERE and HERE).

It’s no wonder, then, that Jasper has the worst government-run school district in the Palmetto State … which itself is home to the worst government-run school system in America.  Despite presiding over this unmitigated and unending academic debacle, Jasper Superintendent Vashti Washington has gotten a contract extension and a nice bonus … again.

According to The Jasper Sun, Washington’s performance over the last year was evaluated by her school board and deemed to have been “above average in very difficult circumstances.”

As a result, her $165,000 a year (not counting benefits) contract has been extended for another year … and she’s been given a nice $12,000 bonus.

VASHTI WASHINGTON
VASHTI WASHINGTON

Last year Washington was given a similar extension and a $15,000 bonus.  In both years, however, detailed information about the standards used to conduct her “evaluations” were withheld from the public.

Crazy, huh?

Crap like this would never happen in a market-based system.  In fact in a market-based system Washington’s district – which is currently under investigation regarding allegations of fraud, waste and mismanagement – would have gone out of business decades ago.

That’s not the saddest thing, though …

The saddest thing is that Jasper County is one of dozens of South Carolina bureaucratic fiefdoms that perpetuate the ongoing academic enslavement of generations of Palmetto State school children.

Our state has finally admitted as much … yet rather than taking the steps necessary to fix the system, our “leaders” want to continue dumbing it down and throwing more money at it (despite the abject, demonstrable failure of these approaches).

And we wonder why things never change?

How many people get a share of those bonuses and salary increases? The enslavement of blacks by other blacks only moved from Africa to the USA.

LOL yep. You wonder if they will ever wake up. It is very much that way in the Hispanic community as well. The top few make all the money and make sure the ones underneath them never rise to their level

They have their special own parasite class. Poor blacks have a virtual coat of ticks covering their bodies.

And we wonder why things never change?

There’s nothing to wonder about, Jasper County residents elected this school board so they’re getting what they voted for. Good and hard.

Face It … Nothing will ever change in a civil kind of way. The way you get rid of douche bags like this is with forensic audits and criminal charges for anything and everything that is codified in both state and federal law books. Believe me when I say, there are so many laws on the books now, it would be easy to use them to make these people’s lives a living hell. From tossing litter on the ground to wire fraud and embezzlement. You want to take this ‘Stupidintendent’ down along with her cronies and that school system’s attorney, it can be done.

Of course FITSnews is ignoring the scandal at Bob Jones. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Con Artists always thrive amongst the uneducated, minorities, people of faith, and the poor. When you have a county full of all four she has hit the jackpot.

Here in Taxifornia, the Oakland super of “education” for the city/county was caught spending wildly and pocketing perks and cash … So he was kicked out and replaced with someone not quite as bold … He was later seen running the school districts in Kansas City Mo.

The teachers unions here in the west seldom come under scrutiny, although between the active dumbing down, the influx of illegals and the Common Core word puzzles, the kids and taxpayers are being absolutely being short changed, big time.

This appears to be spreading east … Whether under the guidance of the elitist “progressive” Fascists is unclear, but certainly the teachers unions are culpable.

One would hope that the WalMart Walton are successful, being the single biggest contributors to primary and secondary education out side of g’ment.
