No telling why the comment system changed, but it has the obvious side effect of keeping upvoted comments off the top of the page. Such comments include or have included:
Helpful tips on recovering data from a dead hard drive.
Reminders concerning a certain CDV conviction.
Observations on the obvious reversals in stance (and obvious reasons) in regards to Fits’ featured “personalities”. Templeton and T-Rav are the latest examples.
Comments calling out non-events that were 100% manufactured and hyped by Fitsnews (T-Rav’s “promising” Senate candidacy).
Comments calling out 100% manufactured drama that may or may not have occurred (“The Boeing Incident”, T-Rav again).
Comments calling out the many breaking news “exclusives” that go down the memory hole, with no further mention after the initial allegations.
Anyway, I think a good number of us understand that this is not a news site. It’s an entertainment and gossip blog, and several of the site’s “stars” either pay or are paid to garner page views. The players’ relationships reverse or go sour based on the usual dynamics…who is or is trying to fuck who, who is getting paid vs. paying for content and how much, and who among them knows enough about all of the above to twist things their way.

At least the quality of the comment feature now matches the quality of “this website.”
Why the furor over changing the comments?
Fits made an obvious Business decision that he was paying Disqus too much for their services and that ,while a few of you “believers” in the so called”Free Enterprise” system would wail and gnash your teeth for awhile,you would keep the Right Wing patter coming.
