Hmmmm….where do I go for my temp job for my holiday scratch…Walmart or Amazon?
So many choices out there…both are places I can earn a great living and have the potential for upward movement…hmmm…let’s see.

By the way: Amazon has more than fulfilled its promise of 2,000 jobs. It’s been a ROUSING success. Empty acreage is now generating millions in tax revenue and Amazon has signed amounts of paychecks, exponentially more than the little tax breaks it got…
And: Lexington County has the lowest unemployment rate in the state…while those FITS-driven counties that don’t compete for jobs…are begging for food stamps, unemployment extensions and welfare payments…And the food banks are over-run, cutting staff and out of food…

Majority of their employees for seasonal employment at Amazon come from referrals at Lexington and richland county DSS food stamp and welfare recipient. Amazon has a relationship with DSS were the income is verified within a week of being hired. After 3 months of working they are not laid off they are officially terminated violation of company policy not eligible for unemployment benefits because of Gov Haley stance on seasonal and termination of employment.
Still, there are more than 2,000 PERMANENT (non-seasonal) workers at Amazon. I think another 1,000 are in Spartanburg. You people act like WORK, if it’s not some liberal Utopian Bull-S#!t scenario, is a crime.

Same thing with retail at malls, etc. Christmas shopping. But sometimes any job is better than no job. Working is a good for mental health. Unless you work with assholes and bullies. And there is no shortage of them.

I don’t see how you could support what Haley said. I mean, I get you disagreed with the special incentives Amazon got and all, but really, we all know the only reason Haley was against Amazon was because Walmart was paying her off. I mean, damn, she got that 4,000 jobs talking point to go with bashing Amazon, so it was completely obvious.
