Candidate Mulls Entry In Richland Treasurer’s Race

Couple of the county council members are in desperate need of a paying job. Not sure being out of work is a strong qualification for running for office.
FITS maybe you can give us a better hint. I checked the campaign disclosures for every elected in Richland County and only one has anywhere near 30k (in fact over 40k) but he is a sitting state Senator who makes a lot more money “consulting” than he would be paid by Richland County. So either the person is lying about the 30k or he/she needs to be turned into SC Ethics for failing to file.

Maybe he can campaign in black face and increase his chances?

Leon Howard has always been rumored to be interested in that seat. If he could count, I’m sure he’d make a fine treasurer.
