So the website Campus Reform has posted a funny video of a “diversity officer” at the College of Charleston (S.C.) giving students hell for standing up for their Second Amendment rights.
Kristie Brian – the director of diversity education and training at the “College of Knowledge” – assails the students for wearing prison jumpsuits as part of a protest against the school’s restrictive gun policies.
“That kind of mockery of the really serious violence that is so endemic in our society is extremely troubling to me, and to see someone standing out here having fun, standing out here passing out fliers in prison jump suits is very offensive to me,” Brian says, shortly before asking the students to provide her with their names.
She also says the costumes are every bit as offensive as “a white guy blacking his face and being Trayvon Martin for Halloween.”
Really, lady?
Just wait until you see the costumes your school’s future president likes to wear … (assuming South Carolina lawmakers get their way).
Anyway, here’s the video …

Nice …
College of Charleston officials reportedly called local law enforcement to the scene of the protest in an effort to disrupt it – but the police correctly chose NOT to silence the protesters’ First Amendment rights.
Guess at least one Amendment is still being honored (for now).

I think they should get used to wearing orange. We don’t want the culture shock of prison life to send them into a spiral of depression.
BTW isn’t there some kind of analogue in Ireland – “orangemen?”
You mean, “gingers”?
You’re way too familiar with that.
Did she forget to put sugar on her cereal? Anyway, Shifty likes girls in jumpsuits that zip up the front. Unzipping it with my teeth is such a turn-on and…oops, better get my mind on current projects!
Girls in jumpsuits with zippers in the back ain’t too bad either.
*TBG taps ashes off cigar and does that “Groucho Marx thing” with his eyebrows*
“Say da secret woid an’ da duck comes down and unzips its jumpsuit!”
“to see someone…having fun is really offensive to me, personally.”
Dr. Brian is currently the Director of Diversity Education and Training at the College of Charleston. She came to the College as a Visiting Professor in Women’s and Gender Studies in 2010 after completing her Ph.D. in cultural anthropology and teaching for many years at Temple University (Philadelphia). Dr. Brian was also a member of an interdisciplinary team offering intergroup dialog workshops through Temple University’s Center for Social Justice and Multicultural Education.
*For once, TBG is rendered speechless.*
Why? You know as well as I that diversity and tolerance only extend to views held by the diversity and tolerance police.
In other words she’s a liberal douchebag.
This whiney bitch just needs a good boning.
Trouble is, no straight man would bone that, even at their drunkest and horniest!
whiney bitch
Yes!!
TBG knew he had seen her somewhere before.
My thoughts exactly
Hope Dr. Brian never comes up on a Crew from Corrections picking up trash along Interstate.
I cannot verify that they are having fun sticking and picking as they walk along in their orange jumpsuits but they do appear to be talking, laughing and making the best of it
If I read of a motorist leaving the roadway and mowing down a bunch of happy people in orange jumpsuits, then I will know Dr. Brian has gone postal
The bitch’s main spring is just a tad too tight to be in the business of diversity
Diversity Education and Training:
“This is a whining WOMAN”
“This is a whining AFRICAN [don’t say ‘Negro’!]”
“This is a whining POLITICAL GAY”
Here’s your diploma!
From her bio on the COC website:
Dr. Brian has taught courses on human rights, globalization, race and racism, and feminist theory. These courses grew out of her training as a cultural anthropologist and her experiences as a community organizer confronting various dimensions of structural violence and injustice. In Chicago and Philadelphia, Dr. Brian worked alongside numerous social justice allies in grassroots organizations and non-profits focusing on issues of mass incarceration, homelessness, immigration rights and the eradication of racism, homophobia and sexism. She is currently a member of the Charleston branch of Southerners on New Ground (SONG) a regional Queer Liberation organization.
WTF is a regional Queer Liberation organization? And a community organizer? Maybe she will be president someday.
Huh? What a great resume. Is she a laplicker as well?
She deserves just to be laughed at.
And that would probably cut deepest.
I’ve got nothing at all against the poor twit; she undoubtedly means well with all her activities. But you could put that initial pose next to the word “simper” in the dictionary.
What is a Queer Liberation Organization? I thought queers had already been liberated.
Why should they give her their names? For further prosecution of violating campus speech codes? Is she going to ‘get them in trouble’? Will they be called in to Student Affairs and be intimidated face-to-face, in front of others? Will they be punished? Is this woman given veto rights over campus protests, does she get to say what is allowed and what isn’t? Those students should think about getting lawyers.
There was a free speech movement on college campuses in the 1960s, maybe the boomers who are in charge now need to be reminded of that. This sanctimonious po faced speech code enforcer–wonder how much that pays, especially with such a padded out bio? So sad that the last thing higher ed focuses on is education, and instead wastes money on totalitarian thought police like this hag.
And students paying hard earned tuition are force to put up with this swill? Perhaps we need at least one lest college.
