U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration was warned months in advance about potential problems with the crippled HealthCare.gov website, according to documents released this week by the U.S. House Energy and Commerce committee.

Not only that, Obama’s embattled health czarina – Kathleen Sebelius – appears to have deliberately misled members of Congress regarding the problems associated with Obamacare’s October 1 rollout.

On April 4 of this year, Sebelius and other top staffers at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) attended a briefing held by McKinsey & Co., a private firm hired by the government to troubleshoot Obamacare’s launch. Obama’s health care policy advisor and deputy chief of staff received the same briefing on April 8, according to The Washington Post – the outlet which first broke the story.

At these briefings, officials were told that HealthCare.gov would face “post-launch issues” due to a “compressed testing window” and “evolving requirements” placed on the site.

In other words the very problems cited by contractors in the wake of the website’s disastrous launch …

Of course two weeks after receiving this report, Sebelius testified before Congress that the launch of Obamacare was “on track.”

Ruh-roh …

In testimony last month, Sebelius told lawmakers to hold her accountable for Obamacare’s botched rollout – but that hasn’t happened yet.

Roughly 100,000 people nationwide selected health care plans through Obamacare during its first month of operation (although it’s unclear at this point how many of them actually purchased plans). That’s well below administration estimates. By contrast, more than four million Americans have lost their coverage due to new regulations associated with Obamacare.

She “mis-spoke” about the problems and a clarification will be coming soon that says she did not really say what she said.

Question: ..Do you prefer to tell fibs, white lies, damned lies, or bald-faced lies?

Answer: .. “I don’t know which system to use, but I want the one that will enable me, when I am questioned, to remember what to forget.”

The inside information is that the website isn’t going to be ready even by the end of the year.

They spent over $300 million and 3 years and have little functionality on the website. It’s going to take way more than 3 months to fix it.

Here is a simple solution to forlorn Democrats unable to grasp the situation they have on their watch…From Tea Party stalwart US Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)

“It was only a few weeks ago that President Obama refused to consider any changes to Obamacare, forcing the government to shutdown for 16 days.

“Today, he made a 180-degree turn and announced a plan that, sadly, is too late for the more than 5 million Americans who have already received cancellation notices from insurance companies notifying them the plans they had are no longer available due to explicit provisions in Obamacare that made them illegal.

“We cannot ‘fix’ Obamacare. The damage has been done, as millions of Americans have already been made to pay higher premiums and lose their jobs, wages, and health care plans.

“Yesterday, the largest private provider of cancer treatment in Austin, Texas, announced it will not accept insurance plans sold through the exchanges, due to regulations associated with Obamacare.

“The news will only get worse. If Obamacare continues to be enacted, Americans will continue to lose health care plans, premiums will continue to rise, and Americans will continue to lose their doctors.

“Obamacare is not working. It’s time to start over.

“The plan the president outlined today is not capable of undoing the damage; it is designed to mitigate his party’s political pain.

“It must be repealed and at the same time, Republicans and Democrats should work together to adopt policies that will truly make health care more accessible by creating a true national market to make insurance more affordable, personal, and portable.”

Solution: Have a simple vote in the US Senate on the Defund Obamacare Act of 2013 and H.R. 45 repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and health care-related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.
