This website has consistently supported the legalization of prostitution.
If people want to make money by having sex with other people, what business is that of the government?
Yet holier-than-thou politicians – who are usually much bigger whores than the literal prostitutes they sanctimoniously outlaw – refuse to permit this most basic expression of individual liberty and free market economics.
The latest example? A “prostitution sting” in Horry County which nabbed six working girls and three dudes. According to The (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) Sun News, “officers used a website known for promoting prostitution to make the arrests.”
In other words, they spent taxpayer resources that could have gone toward more legitimate law enforcement functions on entrapping people who are just trying to make a living.
As a result these nine individuals are now “lodged in J. Reuben Long Detention Center” where taxpayers will pay for their food and lodging until shelling out even more money at a later date to put them on trial.
What a joke …
Especially when you consider three of these girls might actually be able to make a living at this …
For those of you keeping score at home (or contemplating bailing one of these girls out), that’s 26-year-old Amanda Marie Ambler of Yukon, Oklahoma (the blonde) and the 31-year-old Forsythe twins (Tara and Tiffany) of Ash, N.C.
Meanwhile here are the three South Carolina girls who were busted …

Legalize the sex trade, drugs and all victimless “vice” crimes. This may allow law enforcement to use resources to investigate and prosecute corruption and ethics violations by public officials (Yeah, in which alternate universe?).

I can’t say I’m surprised given what I know about the “just us” system if it is true.
All I can say is that you have to find a way to stay in your kids life no matter how painful if that’s your situation until they are grown.
I think it’s not so uncommon that divorce attorney’s end up boning their clients(women)…I’m just surprised at how rarely they suffer disbarment, etc. over it…it is really predatory behavior.

Once upon a time, many years ago, the Holy City, where the Ashley and the Cooper meet to form the Atlantic Ocean, found the best way to “tax” prostitution. A “House of Ill Repute” (many were on King Street, above stores) would be raided by the City Vice Squad – a $100.00 ticket would be issued to each Working Girl charging her with ‘Disorderly Conduct’, and another $100.00 ticket would be issued to the person in charge of the establishment, charging him or her with ‘Maintaining a Public Nuisance.’ Most of the places had at least 4 “Girls” – so, not a bad week when the take from an unofficial “Sin Tax” would run $500.00 per establishment. It would be very difficult to pass an “official” tax that would bring in some $26,000 a year. For a time, the Holy City would do this for bars (then illegal) and restaurants serving booze (also illegal at the time), except (1) the raids would be tipped off, and (2) all but a few bottles of booze (specified number, apparently) would be moved out of view. Right on time, the Vice Squad would appear, confiscate the unhidden bottles at $100.00 a bottle, charge the bartender the $100.00 Public Nuisance fine, and leave – bar would be back up and running within 10 minutes, not to be molested again until the “Tip Time” for the next week.
Talk about low hanging fruit.
Perhaps we have misunderstood what Sic Willy was bragging about when he goes to Myrtle Beach for “body surfing.”
The point being missed here is that these street whores are mostly junkies and thieves, with gang connections and pimps, not just whores. They contribute a myriad of other misery upon the communities they infest. AND they pay no taxes but suck up taxpayer money to prosecute and incarcerate them. The problem is they spend one night in jail pay 100 bucks bond and are out doing their crimes again. Either crack down and make it a real crime with real time or legalize it and regulate it to specific cathouses where the whores are tested for STDs and pay their fair share of income tax.
