This website rails against “Republican” elected officials at all levels of government …
How come? Because they (or at least the vast majority of them) are habitual hypocrites … constantly saying one thing and doing another. You know what we’re talking about … but click here and here for some recent examples.
Anyway, we’re frequently accused of being too hard on GOP politicians (and not hard enough on Democrats).
Really? Last time we checked Democrats were pretty up front about their desire to grow the size and scope of government … whereas Republicans were supposed to stand against that sort of thing. Which generally makes Democratic politicians more ideologically honest – albeit ideologically incorrect – in their various pronouncements.
But Democrats veer into the realm of hypocrisy quite frequently themselves – like the speech U.S. President Barack Obama gave in Maryland this week in response to the partial shutdown of the federal government which began October 1.
Obama was attempting to draw an unflattering analogy between Republican members of Congress and workers who threaten to quit their jobs if they don’t get what they want.
“If a worker shut down a manufacturing plant until they got what they wanted, they’d be fired,” Obama said.
Wait … what?
Obviously that should be true … but it isn’t. Why not? Because what Obama has articulated is the modus operandi of organized labor – which remains a (shrinking) part of the American economy due to its reliance on government institutions (and government regulations).
Seriously … government employees (including millions who perform totally unnecessary functions) have repeatedly held U.S. taxpayers hostage using this very strategy.
Why do you think there’s such inflated government bureaucracy in the first place? And why do you think America’s public pension funds are being pushed to the brink?
Exactly …
Of course the ultimate irony in all this is that even organized labor knows Obamacare is bad for the economy.
“On behalf of the millions of working men and women we represent and the families they support, we can no longer stand silent in the face of elements of the Affordable Care Act that will destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,” Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. wrote to Obama this summer.
Yeah …
“When you get to the bottom you go back to the top of the slide …”

Typical Sic Willie BS. “government employees (including millions who perform totally
unnecessary functions) have repeatedly held U.S. taxpayers hostage using
this very strategy.”
Millions means more than 1. Federal government civilian employment is around 2.5 Million. So Sic Willie is saying that virtually all of them have used labor union “tactics”. Of course that creates a dilemma for Sic Willie as it is prohibited by law for federal workers to strike against the government. But Sic Willie never lets facts get in the way of a Sic Willie story.
No asshole. He’s saying your GOD, LORD AND MASTER IS A FRACKING HYPOCRITE. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/10/03/obama-imagine-if-a-worker-could-shut-down-a-manufacturing-plant-just-because-they-didnt-get-what-they-want/
Watch the clip.
And we are saying that you and your tribe are the Fricken Teabagger Taliban!! Go to Afghanistan if you enjoy no government!!
Don’t you cuss me son. I aint no liberal repuklitard.
Obama got our troops out of Iraq and by 2014, all out of Afghanistan, ending “Bush’s War,” and helped reverse “Bush’s Recession” — the worst since the Great Depression. He has kept us out of new shooting wars in the Middle East, to the consternation of rabid republicans like Graham and McCain. He’s responsible for the killing of Osama bin Laden. And he convinced the public (who elected and re-elected him) and congress to approve broad reform of our health care system that is eating our economy like a cancer. Overall, I give him a pretty high grade.
Obama got our troops out of Iraq and by 2014, all out of Afghanistan, ending “Bush’s War,”
Uh, no, we still have troops in Iraq, just as I’m sure we will in Afghanistan beyond 2014. Google it.
He has kept us out of new shooting wars in the Middle East,
Are we talking about Putin now? Come on, Obama and Kerry were practically begging Congress to let them hit Syria, and some of Congress were gleefully supporting it.
I wouldn’t give him a passing grade on the wars, or any of the domestic programs Bush started either.
I’m sick of the assertion that Obama had anything to do with “…ending the Iraq War…” and “…getting or Troops out of Iraq…”.
Time for a little history lesson here boys and girls (you too Smirks). President Obama was elected on 2 Nov 2008. He was sworn in on 20 January 2009 but what most of you twerps who claim “Obama got us out of Iraq” are unaware of is that we began planning the withdrawal a year before he was even elected and the withdrawal was well under way when he took office. In fact, GEN Petraus testified before Congress in on 20 April 2008 and requested that the withdrawal be delayed.
Sorry sycophants, President Obama had very little to do with it. How do I know all this – I was here responsible for tracking the numbers of soldiers on the ground for much of the withdrawal. For the record, we still have troop in Iraq, the POWs are still in Gitmo and we’ll be in Afghanistan after December 2014. How do I know that? I’m back in this fricking stink hole tracking soldiers again.
Well, maybe you’ll be furloughed soon…that certainly doesn’t sound ‘essential’.
If I’m not here counting the Soldiers leaving you can’t give Obama credit Jan.
You wouldn’t know “essential” if it bit you on your abundant ass.
The withdrawal may have been pre-planned; but President Obama authorized it. That makes it HIS decision-good or bad-just like the hit on Binladin. And as a colonel (if that is what you are), you of all people should know the responsibilities of command!
Did you miss what I said? The drawdown was already underway when President Obama was elected. He may have “allowed it to continue” if you must give him credit for something but that was all he had to do with it..
Let us not forget that Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize holder, has ramped up drone strikes in multiples over Bush the Dumber as well.
That’s just because we didn’t have the technology or the training. I’m not sticking up for Obama or Bush, I dislike them both for different reasons. Bush and especially Cheny would’ve love them some UAVs.
Not true, we’ve been flying Predators (MQ-1s) since ’95 and launching missiles off of them since ’01. President Obama had ramped up use of the Predator (and other platforms) until a series of questionable reports became public claiming that for every one “bad guy” killed, the Predator killed 50 “innocent bystanders”.
Quoting from one study, “…The Obama-CIA drone program is the perfect example of government secrecy, lawlessness, and the inevitable next step in the U.S. government’s long tradition of claiming the right to intervene military anywhere and everywhere it pleases. Government programs, whether they be welfare transfer payments or weapons contracts, like cancer, grow for growth’s sake…” I personally support the use of UAVs, particularly to go “bug hunting” in places otherwise inaccessible to our “bullet launchers”. “Kinetic engagement”, the new euphemism for shooting at people, is sometimes the only way to deal with some people. That said, I think Bush should have authorized the 500,000 troops Rand Corp said would have been necessary to prosecute the Iraq war effectively.
Yeah, we had them in the 50s too. The differences in the past 5-7 years there have been major upgrades in electronics, air frame, flight control and most of all, COST. Without getting too specific, I’ve been working very closely with them for the last 10 years. The difference in both the military and civilian side is staggering from year to year. Saw my first overhauled Global Hawk yesterday, word is they cost half as much to operate this year compared to a year ago. Our general public seems to be okay with the death of 50 civilians vs 1 American soldier and until that changes you will see more flying robots.
And that wouldn’t have anything to do with the color of his skin, loser? Think you will make it to be President of the USA? Not!!
You mis-typed NERO.
ROFLMAO
Jimmy Hoffa doesn’t want an end to the ACA, so I’m not sure why you keep quoting him. The unions either want more union goodies out of it, or they would rather see the ACA scrapped for actual single payer health care (as with another union quoted by the right for being against Obamacare). So, yeah, either the union wants changes that benefit it or it doesn’t think reform goes far enough. I’m sure either way you’d be bitching even more if they got their way.
But here, a link where Hoffa says he still stands behind the law.

Cellphone typing sucks.
QUICK, get on the spin treadmill and contact GOP leadership and FOX….its not a shutdown, republicans are on STRIKE! BRILLIANT
Is Obama a hypocrite, read his word, they speak volumes.
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, “the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006
“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents — #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.” – Barack Obama, July 3, 2008
Im waiting for some democratic sheeptard to mention that Bush got us into debt and had the debt ceiling raised more times. But the fact is, he didn’t get us into as much debt… and he didn’t have the ceiling raised to such ridiculous levels as Obama has.
Who passes the budget and spending bills? I’m pretty sure it isn’t either of these presidents you mentioned.
You have to PROPOSE a budge FIRST before you can vote on one. Obama has not proposed any budget to Congress in his entire term.
Then how did his FY 2012 budget get shot down 97-0 in the Senate and his FY 2013 budget went down 414-0 by the House? The President is required to propose one by law and he has every year. Interesting that you wouldn’t google that first.
Greetings fitsnews.com: If the United states is in such bad financial state, shouldn’t our Governmental “Essential Leaders” role model frugal living? It is factual that our Debt ceiling has been raised numerous times by other Former Presidents. Should we continue to borrow from faltering countries who allowed big business to use their people to make/produce merchandise (to save on cost of labor) that is shipped back to us for premium purchase? In America, restore the word “UNITED” please. Respectfully, ES 10/5/13 facebook.com/elouise-timeline
Teabagger = American Al Qaeda!
People who use the term Teabagger = -retarded idiots that don’t look at facts like 435 seats of the house and only 30 or so are tea party elected.. And the reason that the House is Republican (2 votes in a row – and they almost got the Senate) is directly because of Obamacare which a majority of the USA does NOT WANT. They don’t like the government shut down, but that doesn’t negate the fact that they do not want Obamacare.
The GOP has offered to fund and open up he rest of government while they debate this but the Democrats have insisted everything be closed down and people in need denied necessities like medicine and food aid.
Those who are threating lives to get what they want = This time is the democrats and the sheeptards that follow.
BananaRepublicans = Gutless followers of the Teabagger Taliban!!
Wow, you don’t even know recent history http://theweek.com/article/index/202620/the-evolution-of-the-word-tea-bagger
Actually, he gets it. That he chooses to be associated with liberals is what perplexes me.
You cant see 4″
Is that 9″ little brother?
Nice :)
No doubt! and, very good point! Listen to Obama talk about Rosa Parks… (forward to 40 minute mark of the video) She is one person, who changed a nation by herself. Rock on Rosa! and cheers to EVERYONE who takes on “the many” who are not right – even when they think they are right…. Obama is a hypocrite.

Its like this….Until we get more political parties in the game and end the monopoly the Democrat’s and republican’s have created we are never going to have good government. They have been pimping us for years and all we do is bend over and take it like good little whores. Now we stand at the brink of economic ruin which could throw the rest of the world back into global recession and why???,because of a national health care law.The way I see it,if you feel it may do more harm than good then you don’t shoot it down if its meant to better things for Americans you work together to make it better and fight over how to do it right.I can respect that, but if you shoot it down, offer nothing to make it better and all this after saying even before he did anything in office your going to make him a one term president and you will say no to any policy then your not looking out for us.Your being racist lets keep it real, your power hungry be honest, and if its republican or Democrat its cool because we know your game. All we ask for is that in the power struggle don’t crap on us just to get what you want.
Here is a radical thought for all you complainers out there blaming either party for the mess were in,why not start looking into ways to get congressmen fired for the horrible job their doing. If you could go to work everyday sit on your butt and do little to nothing like some of the supervisors we all know and love and not worry about getting fired would you work hard.Well guess what that’s what they are doing everyday and instead of us getting rid of them we sit on the sideline pointing fingers saying my party is better like some adolescent PS3,Xbox fan-boys.In truth our system has failed not solely because of our leaders, but because of us we the people not doing our job of electing the right officials to represent us.
