It’s hard to fix stupid, but to do it twice in one week is almost impossible!

Yeah, Cruz said we needed 100 more Jesse Helms. The story was picked up by most Left Wing Media Groups.

Canadian Ted Cruz (LIAR-TX) is a huge fan of the “sanctimonious moralizing and selective taxpayer advocacy” of Jesse Helms. Where’s the article on Cruz?

(FWIW, I for once agree with your assessment of a GOPer. Helms was a sum of all the worst parts of Republican politics.)

It is very difficult to save someone from their own stupidity.

Knocking them unconscious is the only sure fire way to do so.

In Poll About Debt-Ceiling Crisis, Americans Totally Excited About New iPhone

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) — In a poll taken over the weekend about the looming debt-ceiling crisis and government shutdown, most Americans said that they were totally excited about the new iPhone 5s.

When asked about the prospect of a debt-ceiling logjam leading to a downgrade of the U.S. economy, seventy-two per cent of those surveyed said that the new iPhone looks like the most awesome iPhone yet.

Questioned about the disastrous impact of the U.S. government defaulting on the nation’s debt, sixty-five per cent agreed with the statement, “I can’t believe I waited on line all Friday for the 5s and they told me they’re sold out until October.”

On the topic of whether the debt-ceiling crisis could plunge the world economy into the most apocalyptic catastrophe since the financial meltdown of 2008, Americans were deeply divided over which color iPhone they would choose, but agreed that all of them looked amazing.

TBG thinks you are being to hard on Jesse Helms. While he had many flaws, TBG would gladly support him if he rose from the dead and ran against Miss Lindsey.

Scratch that, he doesn’t have to rise from the dead, TGB would vote for his corpse against Grahajm.

You could say the Democrat Party’s discriminatory brand of sanctimonious moralizing and selective taxpayer advocacy is destroying America. When Russia is on the Right of Democrats in banning homosexuality special rights, marriage, the basic acceptance of their nasty sexual proclivities that violate their human essence and reason. When Unions blast the Affordable Care Act, saying the overhaul of the health-care system known as Obamacare is pushing employers to reduce full-time workers to avoid new health insurance mandates. They also say the law will gut long-established benefit plans won through hard-fought collective bargaining. Where surveys suggest millions of young people will balk at signing up for Obamacare once they learn of the high cost of premiums and the least-reported downside of many coverage plans — the high deductible levels that must first be paid before insurance kicks in… you have a sanctimonious moralizing and selective taxpayer advocacy which is the Democrat Party. See Chicago gun violence, Syrian foreign policy, 2016 Presidential front runners.

When Russia is to the right of the Democrat Party’s recognizing special homosexual rights that never existed in human history giving encouragment to violate their bodies with their sexual proclivities against nature and reason, it is the discriminatory brand of sanctimonious moralizing from the Democrat Party that is out of touch with basic human reason exposing bigotry against 10,000 years of human development. When collective bargaining labor unions have blasted the Affordable Care Act, saying the overhaul of the health-care system known as Obamacare is pushing employers to reduce full-time workers to avoid new health insurance mandates. They also say the law will gut long-established benefit plans won through hard-fought collective bargaining. Where surveys suggest millions of young people will balk at signing up for Obamacare once they learn of the high cost of premiums and the least-reported downside of many coverage plans — the high deductible (tax) levels that must first be paid before insurance kicks in, it is the discriminatory brand of sanctimonious moralizing and selective taxpayer advocacy from the Democrat Party that is out of touch with basic human needs. When a Democrat President and 2016 Democrat Presidential frontrunner embark on foreign policies that fail to protect basic and fundamental human rights, it is the discriminatory brand of sanctimonious moralizing and selective taxpayer advocacy from the Democrat Party that is out of touch with basic social and criminal justice.

William F. Buckley was for the legalized regulation of all drugs.

Here is a short excerpt from a statement he gave In 1995, to the New York Bar Association:

“I HAVE spared you, even as I spared myself, an arithmetical consummation of my inquiry, but the data here cited instruct us that the cost of the drug war is many times more painful, in all its manifestations, than would be the licensing of drugs combined with intensive education of non-users and intensive education designed to warn those who experiment with drugs. We have seen a substantial reduction in the use of tobacco over the last thirty years, and this is not because tobacco became illegal but because a sentient community began, in substantial numbers, to apprehend the high cost of tobacco to human health, even as, we can assume, a growing number of Americans desist from practicing unsafe sex and using polluted needles in this age of AIDS. If 80 million Americans can experiment with drugs and resist addiction using information publicly available, we can reasonably hope that approximately the same number would resist the temptation to purchase such drugs even if they were available at a federal drugstore at the mere cost of production.”

William F. Buckley—”Why Drugs Should Be Legal”

Low blow fits…the deceased are easy targets for condemnation…how can they defend themselves?…unlike you or me Sen. Helms served his country in battle during WWII and even adopted a handicapped kid with CP..sheesh! Who hasn’t made mistake? Let’s not sully the memory of a great, deceased American to score a few political points for Ms. Mace…

Too bad the Citadel isn’t all male…It isn’t the same school any more…It has lost its core identity….How many all female colleges are there? How many all male colleges are there on the US?

Does Ms Mace support compelling all-female colleges to admit men?

Would she sue Hollings College? Smith? Wesley?

Helms “was a former segregationist Democrat from North Carolina who became a Republican when it served his political ambitions.” Wasn’t that true of all the Dems become Repubs of that era — including the racist hypocrite Strom Thurmond? Aren’t the current crop of Southern Repubs just their descendants? It seems Nixon’s Southern Strategy worked. It worked to allow the Repubs to take over the south and become a permanent minority party — much like the antebellum Dems. History has flip-flopped.

Republicans like Senator Bright actually give me hope the country will one day return to sanity. As the Republican party becomes more and more the party of racist old white men and their Stepford Wives, more and more people will realize they do not represent the America we want to live in.

Former McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt said that he has a “deep regret” for helping to create a “freak show” wing of the Republican party, Politico reports.

Said Schmidt: “For the last couple of years, we’ve had this wing of the party running roughshod over the rest of the party. Tossing out terms like RINO saying we’re going to purge, you know, the moderates out of the party. We’ve lost five U.S. Senate seats over the last two election cycles. And fundamentally we need Republicans, whether they’re running for president, whether they’re in the leadership of the Congress, to stand up against a lot of this asininity.”

Maybe reality is beginning to set in for some Republicans.
