It’s hard to maintain a dry eye when contemplating the inspirational career of former University of South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore – who continues to defy the odds as he prepares to play in the National Football League.
Despite two season ending knee injuries in 2011 and 2012 – including a gruesome, near-career-ender against Tennessee last October – Lattimore was selected in the fourth round of this year’s NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
Why? Because he is ALL HEART, people.
In fact Lattimore’s inspirational story is the subject of a new Under Armor promotional video …
Check it out …
“I didn’t know if I was going to play football again,” Lattimore says in the clip. “Possibly, I couldn’t even walk again. But it did make me stronger.”
In 28 games at USC Lattimore rushed for 2,677 yards and scored a school-record 41 touchdowns – all while inspiring teammates and fans with his humility and selflessness.
“People wonder if I’ll reach my full potential in this game,” he adds. “I just tell them one thing: I will.”
Anybody doubt that?
(Crickets chirping)
Exactly …

That guy is truly special. Works so hard, so humble, such a great guy. When he got taken out at the Tennessee game, I’ll never forget the sea of orange and white Vols that came onto the field out of respect. I’ve never seen anything like that.

Umm. He looks bigger and stronger in that tight T than he did with full pads. Wow.

He is genuine roll model for all young Americans.

It is my prayer that the doctors have given him “steel” knees and legs. I want to die, knowing that this Gamecock has become a legend in American sports. He deserves to be to history what he is inside.

FITS takes the cake, He buried Marcus after both of his injuries. He gleefully called them ‘career-ending.’
Liberals trying to pass as thinkers, are like cornerbacks. They must have short memories and hope readers do, too. If people remember how stupid they were, they look ignorant. That applies to FITS, here.
How ’bout wait for Lattimore to do something in an NFL game before denouncing as stupid someone who justifiably saw the injury as career-ending.
I guess you expected Marcus to pop up and run wind sprints, huh?
