Floyd Hosts “Conservative” Women

Former S.C. Republican Party (SCGOP) chairwoman Karen Floyd is hosting an “intimate, informative and innovative” gathering of “conservative” women in Charleston, S.C. later this month – part of her ongoing efforts to make everything in politics about one’s gender. Former S.C. Republican Party (SCGOP) chairwoman Karen Floyd is hosting an “intimate, informative and innovative” gathering of “conservative” women in Charleston, S.C. later this month – part of her ongoing efforts to make everything in politics about one’s gender.

And yes … 1990 called. And wants its indignation back. Anyway, Floyd says 150 women will attend her conference on August 23-24  – including U.S. Reps. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Renee Ellmers of North Carolina.

Hmmmm … wonder if this event will go down like the National Federation of Republican Women conference held in Charleston, S.C. back in 2010? Because that was quite the party …

Anyway, Floyd is back on her soapbox – playing the gender card in an effort to remain relevant on the political stage seeing as her own electoral ambition came up short a few years back.

“Where is the Party of Abraham Lincoln and Susan B. Anthony that once stood for equality, values and opportunity for all?” Floyd asks. “As Republican women leaders, how do we engage and energize other women? What are the policies that matter most to women and how do we address those issues with messaging that builds our Party, grows our ranks as Republican women elected officials and significantly impacts elections?”

Look, we’re all about the bashing the GOP. The party clearly sold its soul a long time ago (and continues to do so), but GOP feminazism is every bit as dangerous as Democratic feminazism in our book. Equality means not distinguishing on the basis of race, gender, creed, color or sexual orientation – which means irascible, um, “voices” like Floyd’s are every bit as guilty as those she assails.

Elected officials and candidates for public office don’t need to identify “policies that matter most to women,” they need to identify policies that matter most to citizens and taxpayers irrespective of any distinguishing characteristics. Meanwhile women like Floyd who think the only way to get ahead is to perpetually play the gender card need to locate – and put on – their big girl panties.

If she invites some of those hotties over from Fox News and Sarah Palin, they can get “intimate” any time they want. Might have shit for brains, but I’d like to watch them get in a big ol’ nekid pile.

Excellent article. Too bad women don’t see the damage they do when playing the gender card. Makes them look like Jackson and Sharpton. A Master Baiter is just that, race or gender.

Nothing wrong with carving out a niche in the political market place to make some money selling tickets and sponsorships for these types of events. FITS maybe you should put together a political degenerates conference. I’d sign up to attend fo sho.

Ladies, stop complaining. This Is not your great great granddaddy’s party. Its the party of Rush Limbaugh, Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock and Rick Santorum. Forget Rosie the Riveter, she was a Democrat. June Cleaver is a Republican. So if you are going to take the time to get together and plan, what the party really needs to know is, “Have you lined up a caterer for the convention?”

So what’s popular at the hen house these days. My grandmother used to make the really cool jello squares. Not the crappie ones your mom made that had 3 colors and melted at room temp.

Her’s had 16 layers, All the primary colors and a layer of white in between. And she was proud of the fact that they never stood more than 3/4″ tall. Each layer was distinct, no bleed through to the white and stayed firm to 95 degrees. Them little frackers would burn before they’d melt. :)

Edit: Leave them out over night and they would turn into great infill for our legos.

Q: What was the most obscene remark on 1950’s TV?
A: “Ward: you were a little rough on the Beaver last night”
If I’m not mistaken, “Mortica” on the “Adams Family” (Carolin Jones) was voted #1
I could see that……………….

You reckon she got her contributions back from Inez Tenenbaum and Fritz Hollings? She sure did learn a lot working for ol’ Dick Harpootlian! (Also, she’s probably proficient at using that webcam setup behind her.)

Sorry, the GOP, owned and operated by old white men with dentures and colostomies and the Lord Almighty showing them the way, will never accept women. Hell, it hates everyone and it will shrivel into irrelevance. America’s young do not vote Republican.

Honey,
You’re too “long in the tooth” to be wearing your hair like that (which you have been doing for a year or two….). It looks like shit. You did look better with your hair short but that was years ago………
Plus anyone from Spartanburg can attest how ineffective you were when you were chairwoman for Spartanburg. County Council (a bunch of platitudes and fluff was all you were good for.)
Every job she has had since she was worked for Denny’s WAY back has been to flit from job to job using her past good looks and gender till that shit wore thin and no real results were/are realized.
A lot of people are wise to her ways and sadly father time has taken the bloom off your rose.
Go back to Public Relations and shoveling BS and leave the real work to someone else.
BTW, Speaking of female politicians:
Liz Patterson was the LAST represenative of the common folk in the 4th Congressional District of SC. Too bad the hard right took power. Since then it has been kahki or suit wearing white dudes who kiss the hard right’s asses and don’t give a shit for common folk. Bob Inglis came around near the end but then the right wing-nuts took over.
Its been down hill ever since………….

Good lord this woman just keeps showing up. Every time you think she is gone there she is. She is like some kind of El Diablo magic woman, or maybe a zombie. I have met her a couple of times, when she was not pressing the flesh, and she is NOT what she appears to be, then again 99.99% percent of politicians are the same way.

Ms. Floyd is offering an opportunity for more women to get involved in politics. We need strong, intelligent women taking an active role in our government. Women control 65% of global spending and 80% of US spending but only 18% of the seats in Congress. Messaging is the weakness of the Republican Party and no one is better at developing targeted, dedicated to purpose, effective messaging, than Karen Floyd.
