Eager to shore up his “conservative” credentials in anticipation of a forthcoming GOP primary fight, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is shifting to the right on a key judicial appointment. Specifically, Graham is threatening to block an upcoming committee vote on the nomination of Patricia Millett, U.S. President Barack Obama’s choice for a spot on the Washington D.C. circuit court.
Good for him. However, in light of his prior support for U.S. Supreme Court justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagen – both of whom upheld the constitutionality of Obama’s socialized medicine plan – we find Graham’s judicial advocacy to be too little, too late.
Millett deserves to be blocked, there’s no doubt about it. For starters, she was downright deceitful in responding to questions from U.S. Senators during her confirmation process. For example, at one point she was asked by U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to characterize her judicial philosophy and compare it to prior justices – the definition of a “softball” question.
Millett’s “answer?”
“While I have the greatest respect for the Supreme Court’s members, I cannot claim familiarity with any particular judicial philosophies the justices might possess,” she told Cruz. “Nor do I have a judicial philosophy myself.”
Huh?
She’s clearly lying … either that or she’s stupid. Whichever it is, there’s no way she should be allowed to sit on the second-highest court in Washington, D.C.
We hope Graham makes good on his threat, but assuming he does – this is precisely the sort of thing he should have been doing years ago. Unfortunately, he’s been too busy war-mongering, raising our taxes, covering for Obama’s recklessness, whoring for special interests and spearheading the federal government’s assault on our liberties.

“raising our taxes” WOW I did not realize the power Graham has. First be badgers the House (where ALL tax bills must originate) into creating a tax bill and then forces them to pass it. Then he rams it through the Senate and stands over POTUS to make him sign it. Then in his spare time he “spearheads” the fed government’s assault on our liberties.

Been that way since the Founding until Bork got. . . . Borked. Kagan and Sotomayor are libs, but neither was “clearly unqualified.” And Graham is a vet from the Bush years when the Dems tried to turn Alito into a Nazi on live TV. He was right to let them through. Millet’s a different story. Go get ’em, Sen. Graham.

There is absolutely no reason that Republican’s should be blocking Patricia Millet’s nomination to the D.C. Circuit. She is exceptionally well qualified, even Republican’s on the judiciary committee have acknowledged this. They base their objection on the flimsy argument that the D.C. Circuit doesn’t need additional judges, yet they voted for all four of President Bush’s nominees to the DC Circuit, 2 of which were extremely conservative. Now, when there are three vacancies and the workload slightly higher, they all of the sudden don’t feel the seats should be filled. Very hypocritical and ideological. I hope Sen. Graham will change his position and support a cloture vote – if he so chooses to vote against her, this is his prerogative, but she should at least be given an up or down vote.

Anyone who supports Obama is definitely on the wrong track. Graham was elected my the people for the people, not himself, or Obama. He has definitely derailed himself by supporting a person with the intention of changing America into a socialist country.

Lets keep any comments about his record. I supported him for a long time but my profound disappointment on his being the only GOP to support both Obama’s Supreme Court noms especially Sotomayor. She never answered one question she was asked. He seemed enamored with her for some reason. Lindsey has a habit before elections of all of a sudden becoming conservative. I detest John McCain and it seems that both he and Lindsey are way too progressive for me personally. I have chosen someone I will support that is running against him. Lindsey nor McCain are conservatives. They are senior Senators and have never used their power to really put the truth out there on Benghazi or any other thing Obama is responsible for. Oh yeah they make a little noise but they have never put their full weight behind anything. And the thing that has really disgusted me is Nadal Hassan the murdered of our troops at Ft Hood has been collecting full Major’s pay all this time and living in luxury in an entire wing of a hospital instead of sitting it out in a Federal Prisoon as anyone else would be who committed the crime he did. The other thing is this. Hassan is in a full beard. By regulation Hassan is supposed to be clean shaven and dress according to AF Reg 35-10. Why has not our two senior Senators who are supposed to be so dedicated to our military done anything about this? And how could they sit idly by and allow the murders to be classified as “Workplace” incidents which was directed by Obama and Holder? It was most certainly NOT a workplace incident. By doing that all the victims, survivors and families have completely lost any benefits due them as being murdered in a terrorist attack. It WAS a TERRORIST ATTACK. The other thing about both senior senators, they are doing nothing about Obama and his regime pushing Christianity out of our schools and allowing Islam in unhindered. They don’t speak out about it they do NOTHING. Nope Lindseys’ got to go. Like them all he will walk away with an Obscene retirement. And on top of that when he retires from the USAF he will walk away with retired pay as a Colonel. Not bad chump change. McCain gets retired Brigadier General pay and that as a Senator plus his wife is loaded. None of them have a clue what it is like to make ends meet and pay the gas prices we all have to. The gov’t pays their gas via a government card. I feel Lindsey and all of them have no sense of real life at all. They have put themselves far above the rest of us.
