Here’s an awesome video of workers installing the final section of the spire atop One World Trade Center – a.k.a. the “Freedom Tower.” With the addition of this final section of the building’s 408-foot spire, 1-WTC has reached its symbolic height of 1,776 feet – making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third tallest building in the world.

Damn … we’re dizzy!
Built on the site of the toppled twin towers, One World Trade Center overlooks the National September 11 Memorial and Museum – which opened to the public on September 12, 2011. Built with a mix of 9/11 insurance money, taxpayer funds and private investment, One World Trade Center is expected to cost roughly $3.8 billion by the time of its completion.
