EMBATTLED SC GOVERNOR GIVING KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT HERITAGE FOUNDATION EVENT
After a brief break due to the hacking scandal that continues to rock her Department of Revenue (SCDOR), S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley is resuming her national political activities.
The first-term “Republican” will give the keynote address at a post-election panel discussion being hosted in Chicago, Illinois by the Heritage Foundation – a conservative think tank. Haley’s speech – which will be given at the Chicago Ritz Carlton – is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 27.
Despite mounting problems (and multiple ideological retreats) at home, Haley is still viewed as a “conservative” and a “rising star” nationally. In fact she recently made a 2016 GOP presidential short list compiled by CBS News.
What will Haley have to say about the recently concluded presidential election?
Well, she endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney prior to the Palmetto State’s “First in the South” presidential primary and aggressively campaigned for him across the country during the 2012 general election … so it’s doubtful she’ll join the recent chorus of establishment GOP criticism of the party’s former standard-bearer.

The suite is where former Gov. Jeb Bush manages his consulting business, his education foundation and, now, the (very) early decision-making process for a possible presidential run in 2016.
When former President Bill Clinton rolled through here while campaigning for President Obama, he speculated about Mr. Bush’s intentions with Ana Navarro, a Republican strategist and friend of Mr. Bush. It was no idle topic for Mr. Clinton, given the possibility that his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, could seek the Democratic nomination.

I like the (probably apocryphal) story that when Floyd Spence was very ill, Spence’s staff or family said to never leave Wilson alone in the room with him. It was also said that Wilson had his election signs up the day after Spence died, again probably a slight exaggeration.

A friend (physician) and his wife were at a dinner attended by these two. The wife asked to be moved; stateing, “This woman is the biggest loud mouth bragging idiot, driving us all nuts”.
