While the senate wanted to give seniors a break on property taxation, Lexington county council wants govt to give property owners a tax hike to pay for a 74 million dollar sports complex. Leaders from Cayce and West Cola are all for it but most taxpaying citizens don’t feel it is their job to fund this sports welfare project and rightly so.

It would be helpful to know how our senator and representative voted rather than just say the senate this and the house that. Which specific reps did what to us taxpayers?

wow do the senators finally feel like they are responsible for answering to their constituents? They are using their common sense it he&& getting ready to freeze over?

Senators also pumped the brakes on a controversial $150 million corporate welfare handout for crony capitalist Scout Motors – which has already received a whopping $1.3 billion in incentives from Palmetto State taxpayers. If state agencies wish to route any more funding to this command economic misadventure, there must first be a legislative audit on the prior expenditures – with any new money coming via a separate appropriation.
