If he’s learned anything it will be not to go with the frontrunner in the Trafalgar poll this time. But I doubt he even remembers that colossal fuckup.
There is a scenario that I don’t think Lex Luthor, I mean Rep. Timmons, has considered, which is admittedly a grey area. His scenario doesn’t consider the possibility that someone in Fry’s position wins the Senate race and then immediately resigns (or declares he will not take the new House term), before certification (which I think is like 2 weeks later), thus possibly invoking the “failure to elect” clause in federal law that then triggers/permits special election – but the problem would be the timing of that special election. But he’s right that a change of the law would clarify this.
