Maybe spell names right before you post an article? LEIBowitz, not LIEBowitz.
Just so by the way, the name WITZ, in my german mother tongue means JOKE.
It’s a shame when the internet has been around so long that some people still find it entertaining to troll. I guess arrested development it’s just inherent in some gene pools. But for you to throw around a word like that, which is so hateful to more than half of the world’s population, tells me that you probably have hurt a lot of women you claim to care about deeply over the years. Unless of course, you ARE 14, in which case, you’ve got all that to look forward to. I’m betting you’ll die alone and unmourned someday.
Even if he had anti-venom on hand. It has to be administered through an IV. Therefore it does no good to have it on hand. At one time it was hard to get Inland Tiapan anti-venom. I pray he survives, but also pray that he telling his followers that free handling can be very dangerous and possibly fatal. And that it’s not a good idea
If he had anti venom on hand, he could bring it to the hospital with him instead of waiting hours for someone else to give up their. Not only that, if you don’t have your own supply, you are at the mercy of IF others give up their supply.
Besides having potent venom taipans are also very fast and active snakes, which may not tolerate free handling nearly as well as some other snakes do. Definitely not a good candidate for free handling, even after being tamed for a while. Doing it in the middle of the night, with all the fatigue one may have accumulate, makes it even more dangerous – definitely a poor judgement.
I am glad the man seems to be recovering.
Too bad they could not find a facility no one provide a quarantine and retain or eventually adopt the snakes, so they ended up being euthanized.
“According to Fry, Liebowitz might survive the initial bite but still sustain permanent nerve damage – and brain damage – that is ‘irreversible by the antivenom.'”
Considering he was free handling venomous snakes, something tells me this guy was already brain damaged. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, for sure!
