Davis ought to know about getting overserved and getting on the road. Everyone should just sleep it off in parking lots, like he does.
Kinda like convenience stores stores paying multi million dollar lawsuits for patrons buying alcohol while using fake identification that look just like the person actually buying the alcohol, then going out and killing someone. This is a tort liability when all the parties involved, except the convenience store are actually consuming the alcohol and acting unlawfully and their actions resulted in death. This is not criminal intent from the store that was mislead but negligence from the parties involved in the actual incident. This is a total miscarriage of justice and nothing but a legal shakedown from attorneys that used our system to exploit the innocent and line their pockets financially. Parkers store in the Murdaugh case is a perfect example of the SC legal system run amok with injustice and financial greed.
Tort reform, especially the dissolution of joint and several liability, is long past due in South Carolina.
