Nothing more South Carolinian than losing badly in federal court.
For me, the most disturbing line in this article is, “FC members across the state have been targeted with even more mailers full of lies and smears paid for by dark money groups . . . .” It’s unconscionable to read that Republicans who have been elected by their constituents to represent conservative principles, but have blatantly abrogated that responsibility, are attacking FC Republicans who defend free speech and the Constitution. These spurious Republicans are the ones that do not belong in office.
C’mon, very few of anyone who makes it to office actually gives a damn about anyone but themselves. Most of them say whatever they have to say to get dumb people to vote for them. There’s no responsibility to the voters or taxpayers, just depravity and apathy.
In one small paragraph you perfectly described everything wrong in American politics in the 21st century……
