Best of Luck to you young fella and thanks for your sacrifices
Why anyone would listen to Keel in regards to a medical issue is beyond comprehension
On the other hand Keel is a Fuckin’ Cockroach so when the Fuckin’ Cockroaches in the Legislature seek advice and guidance it is easy to understand why they would call on another Fuckin’ Cockroach
Marijuana remaining illegal is vital to the budgets of PD’s in general, just like it’s vital to the budgets of Big Pharma.
Alcohol destroys far more people, property, & families than marijuana.
When’s the last time you heard of a guy in a marijuana induced rage as opposed to an alcohol induced rage?
#hideyourdoritos
Personally, never. But every defense attorney sure uses it when their client is on trial and the victim dies with marijuana in their system.
Thank you for your service & for your insight, Jonathan. Gut-wrenching. You are in my prayers.
“We have all heard police officers say “we don’t make the law; we only enforce it.” In this case, though, we have the state’s top law enforcement officer not only trying to make the law – but to intimidate elected officials.”
Sadly, this is a phenomenon we see more and more in SC. SLED has a shameful history of sending agents to Legislative committee meetings when liberalizing our gun laws is on the agenda, to whine about how such will be, “harmful to Law Enforcement”, or other such rot. I recently read where a bill proposing to let teachers volunteer to go through two weeks of firearms training and carry at work was shelved because Law Enforcement had concerns that two weeks wasn’t enough. WTF???? Unless it has recently changed, SCCJA Basic classes only give one week of firearms/range training. At most, they might have doubled it to two weeks but I doubt it.
Jonathan,
Please accept this advice in the way it is intended – I honor your service.
That said, if smoking dope, medical or any other kind is critical to your well being, please consider moving to one of the twenty three states where it is legal: http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000881
Killing yourself is not a solution. I’ve often heard it described as a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
If the VA still refuses to help you send Will a note, he knows how to get a hold of me and I’ll personally get involved in ensuring you get some from the VA or one of the multitude of agencies and service out there who can help. If your church was unable or unwilling to help it’s time to change churches – again, send Will a note and I’ll be happy to help with that as well. I have a number of friends who are lay people but who work through various churches that would be happy to work with you.
I asked Will and he said he did not know who you are, but he has always been tight lipped. I am easy to find on Facebook, shoot me a PM there and we will talk. I wrote the piece not only for me, but others who need help as well.
Legalize it, create jobs, tax the heck out of it and fix the GD roads.Maybe Greg Leon could help.
I’m with you brother. I know plenty of people who’s symptoms of things as varied as Tourettes Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis are diminished or completely eliminated by cannabis products. The cannabis industry should be legalized and regulated like the alcohol or cigarette industry. As soon as the people in power position themselves to get a piece of the profits, I’m sure it will happen. I’m eager to speed that process up from Washington as Mark Sanford’s replacement.
*So let’s revisit two questions…Is marijuana addictive? Yes, and results in a real, visible change in the brain’s reward system. And is marijuana safe? No, and the younger you start or the more you use over time, the more dangerous it is to your brain. Whether or not you believe recreational marijuana should be legal, it’s time to admit its power as
a dangerous, addictive drug.

“Narcotics police are an enormous, corrupt international bureaucracy … and now fund a coterie of researchers who provide them with ‘scientific support’ … fanatics who distort the legitimate research of others. … The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help, and suckering well-intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents.” – William F. Buckley, Commentary in The National Review, April 29, 1983
