He was a very liberal Republican based on his voting record and legislative work.

Which makes these events allthemore a cause for celebration when they occur. Because the majority of the electorate is terminally stupid, this is one of the few occasions when these crooks leave office. Sadly, they will select and elect another one and he or she will likely occupy that seat until he or she is removed for legal issues, they decide to leave, or this happens.
People are too stupid to watch, pay attention, and vote them out when they learn the ways and profits of corruption, which is usually 2-4 years or less in office. Thankfully, mother nature occasionally intervenes in our behalf.
For all you fucks in the Statehouse, let this serve as a nice reminder of what awaits you after you die. Most of you will be cursed under the breath of decent people who have been enlightened to what most of you are.
You may have won yourself riches on the backs of the productive, but your legacy will be worse than that of a dead homeless person, as at least when they depart their family will bear no shame for their actions.
Who gives a shit about legacy? As long as there’s a building, street, or bridge named after them they couldn’t care less about what people think. The point of getting into politics is to enrich yourself, and most pols are successful at doing just that. When they croak they go to heaven where all is forgiven so they don’t have to feel bad for what they’ve done.

Here’s a great example of how politicians line their pockets. I refer you to Abbeville County Parcel # 003-00-00-099. This was a modern Milliken plant, until things began to unraveled for that company, and they decided to dump it off to the County of Abbeville. It was on the books for over $ 4,300,000 for the real estate alone (not counting equipment). Milliken got a great tax writeoff by donating it to the county, who didn’t hold onto it very long. What happened next is the interesting part. Without any marketing or other effort, in April 2012, the County of Abbeville “sold” it to Billy O’Dell for $ 55,000. See Deed Book 293, page 179. I see now it’s on the books now for $ 548,170. No questions asked.
