CAN WE BLAME THEM?

The security and defense committee of the Iraqi parliament is reviewing the country’s security agreement with the United States – with an eye on cancelling the accord so that it can enter a similar agreement with Russia.

According to Sputnik, the review has been prompted by “Washington’s lack of a clear reaction to the worsening situation in the country.”

“The government and parliament need to review the agreement signed with the United States on security because the United States does not seriously care about its fulfillment,” committee member Hamid al-Mutlaq told the news outlet. “We demand that it be annulled.”

The U.S. government utterly and completely fabricated the basis for its 2003 invasion of Iraq – a conflict that cost thousands of American lives and trillions of our tax dollars.

The result of that invasion?  Abject failure.

In fact, this botched intervention has done nothing but provide America with a bigger, stronger, more motivated enemy.

U.S. president Barack Obama – who referred to America’s eight-year engagement in Iraq as a “dumb war” and the “wrong war” – nonetheless reengaged it in 2014, less than three years after the withdrawal of American combat troops.

Thousands of American military “advisors” remain stationed in Iraq today – ostensibly making the country “safe for democracy.”

What does the Iraqi parliament’s decision mean?

“It now appears that the stage is set for Baghdad to claim that the US, like Turkey, is illegitimately occupying the country (again),” the website Zero Hedge reported.  “If Iraq nullifies the security agreement and moves to invite the Russians into the country, the US will be forced to either pack up and leave, cooperate with Moscow, or fight for the right to preserve American influence.”

Thank the Democrats,Obama and Hillary for all this foreign Policy they have created. And yes they have the nerve to criticize Ben Carson for his lack of Foreign Policy.
If we Americans are really this stupid we deserve what we receive.

There was no need to create that foreign policy if we hadn’t invaded. Save trillions and thousands of American lives by not invading in the first place.

I’m sure Iran will get it first.

In fact, I’d venture to guess the real push behind the slackers in Baghdad to get them moving against ISIS has been Iran. And Iran has far more “advisors” than we have on the ground.

What!? How can your inner neocon allow such a shameful and disrespectful withdrawal?

Evidently you are too young to have witnessed Americans fleeing like frightened rats from Viet Nam.

Christ Will – getting your news from Sputnik?

“Sputnik is an international multimedia news service launched on 10 November 2014 by Rossiya Segodnya, an agency wholly owned and operated by the Russian government, which was created by aDecree of the President of Russia on December 9, 2013.[2] Sputnik replaces the RIA Novosti news agency on an international stage (which remains active in Russia)[3] and Voice of Russia.”

News flash, the real external power in Iraq – Iran!!!!!! Yeah, that’s right. Who’s pushing Bagdad to reconcile with Sunnis and fight ISIS – Iran. Who deploys paramilitary units to Iraq to oversee battles against ISIS – Iran. Who doesn’t have a natural alliance with Russia, and in fact is long term in competition with Russia – that’s right Iran.

But hey, I heard there’s an article on RT that Putin can bench press 1,000 kilos.

We have roamed around the world with our twenty-first century technology trying to tame, convert, and then control people and tribes with a tenth century mentality. The clash of civilizations is dramatic, look at some of the religious acts still practiced in the oil-rich nations of the Middle East. They don’t need us, and we sure as hell don’t need them.
At this point, leaving and giving it to the Russians should be considered the best alternative.
If Obama is not going to go “all in,” let’s get the hell outta there.
Next time, let’s just pick better people to save.

The Russian are welcome to Iraq. They probably wouldn’t be stupid enough to pump billions of dollars into that corrupt and failed society.

I don’t know that any country ever learns from history. The Soviet Union wasted 10 years in the sandbox a couple of decades ago.

OPEC and the Saudis have taken the price of oil into the toilet in an act of economic warfare primarily against Russia but affecting all of the West. Putin is buying low, and gobbling up puppet state territory. His target is Riyadh, make no mistake.
