Someone remind me again – why do we have colleges and universities? How did Oxford, Cambridge and the University of Sydney do in the CFP last year – oh, that’s right, they don’t have any “teams” – just club sports. Sorbonne? Same. ETH Zurich, NU Singapore, UNSW? Same. How did our system of higher education become the minor leagues for the NFL and the NBA?
The NCAA’s monopoly and the NIL will eventually destroy the current system and hopefully cause its eventual elimination.
