Like I give a blue rat’s ass who is the new coach for the University of South Carolina (or any other college or professional football coach for that matter.)
Every damn one of them are nothing but hired guns who would leave for the next best opportunity.
The only thing they are loyal to is the almighty dollar (willing provided by doofusses who believe the coach will turn things around and feel proud about something they really don’t have a hand in) and the chance to boost their ego and reputation by doing whatever is necessary (to include breaking the law) to have a 10-0 season and a bowl bid.
Fuck college and professional football is what I say….

The only saving grace that I am aware of is “Lambeau(misspelled?) Field where the Packers play. From what I understand they refuse to let the stadium’s name to be bought out like every other one is and don’t rape the ticketholders or buyers or have obscene prices at the snack bars. I respect that

At least in college sports, with all of it’s other faults, you are guaranteed to have the loser you cheer for even if you are the only person in the stands.

The Carolina athletic regime contracted with name brands, Lou Holtz (Inc.) and Steve Spurrier (Inc.), and they both through their people dictated the terms and called the shots. They also reserved the right to determine their departures. Unfortunately, the exits were exacerbated by the downturn of their teams performances. Nonetheless, they left and for the most part were revered by the fan base. The HBC quit, plain and simple, when things weren’t going his way. He had similar departures at Florida and the Redskins and is only concerned with his legacy and bank balance. Unfortunately, most Gamecock fans are OK to let him leave a dumpster fire with the football program.
Only a trifling, desperate-for-attention Fucking idiot would mention their names in the same sentence.

South Carolina is not a great recruiting base. It’s a small state with two major universities. It is also surrounded by other SEC schools. To recruit well, you have to be on the f’ing ball all the time and go outside your base when you can.
