IT’S ALL GOOD IN THE (AMERICAN) HOOD …

|| By FITSNEWS || Despite record numbers of working age Americans being out of the workforce – and record numbers of American children living in poverty – U.S. president Barack Obama thinks he’s done a good job as president.

He also things he could win again – if he were permitted to seek a third term.

“Now, let me be honest with you,” Obama said during a speech to the African Union. “I am in my second term. It has been an extraordinary privilege for me to serve as the President of the United States. I cannot imagine a greater honor or a more interesting job. I love my work. But under our Constitution, I cannot run again.”

Wait … since when has the Constitution ever been an impediment to Obama doing whatever the hell he wants?

Anyway …

“I actually think I’m a pretty good president,” Obama continued. “I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t. So there’s a lot that I’d like to do to keep America moving, but the law is the law.”

Again: When has the law ever stopped Obama?

In October 2008, this website declared former president George W. Bush the worst to ever hold the office.

From our rebuke of Bush’s administration …

Bush is just dumb, people, and he’s dumb without anything redeeming attached to it.

In addition to his stupidity, Bush is also (here’s our real beef) the chief betrayer of fiscal conservatism in the 21st Century, a “moderate” Republican who refused to reign in the big government excesses of his own party. That failure ultimately cost the GOP both of its Congressional majorities as well as the faith of the American taxpayers.

And is if that legacy wasn’t enough, Bush stuck a final knife into the heart of capitalism with his $700 billion bailout proposal, a crass, callous and unconstitutional reversion to socialism intended to “rescue” us from the failed government policies his administration either wasn’t smart enough or (in the case of the sub-prime mess) strong enough to correct.

Well Obama has taken Bush’s failed (and hypocritical) big government approach to everything and put it on steroids … with predictable results.

Whereas Bush was a “default setting” statist, Obama has aggressively expanded statism in America – and done so at an incalculable cost to our liberty, our prosperity and our constitutional form of government.

Whereas Bush was blindly “going along to get along” with the Washington establishment … Obama is dangerously and deliberately expanding it, using it as a weapon to attack everything which once made America great.

In other words, come October of next year we’ll be updating our “worst president ever” rankings to reflect a change at the top.

None of the GOP contenders, none whatsoever, are going to run things different than George W. Bush.

Let’s see. We went from losing 700K jobs a month to gaining between 200K and 275K a month for the last five years. Deficit has declined from $1.2 trillion to $350 billion. 35 million more Americans have health insurance. GM is booming, as is Ford and Chrysler, manufacturing jobs are at all time highs, fewer Mom’s have to work. More students are attending college. 5.3% unemployment. The Malls are packed, restaurants have 45 minute wait times, airlines are flying high, banks just posted strongest quarterly profits ever. Deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program, restored relations with Cuba, net zero illegal immigration, Dreamers whom we’ve educated in America not being deported, tech industries growing, real estate market recovered. Yeah, other than that, he really sucks.

Ahhh, the facts. They don’t penetrate the GOP bubble.

So many questions, so little time – please explain your “…net zero illegal immigration…” assessment.

5.3% unemployment sounds good – however, what has been the effect on that number of the 40+% of unemployed Americans who have stopped looking for a job in the last six years?

Colonel, I’m not buying into this “people stopped looking for work” thing. I’m more of the opinion that you have significant numbers of people who a) retire before 65 b) increase in college students c) increased folks on disability – how they got there is another story and d) more stay at home parents. That of course is my opinion, and you know what they say about those. But given the Malls being packed again, housing sales back up to normal pre-bubble levels, and the number of head hunter calls my wife gets, I’d say 5.3% is pretty close. The deficit is down by over half, no denying that. (Little dirty secret – $500 billion in that reduction is the quarterly payments the US Govt receives from FNMA / FHLMC. I’d bet you a dollar we don’t see either party return those entities to the private sector. Government never gives up money.)

Rocky,
Buy it or not, the evidence is there that we have the smallest work force we have ever had and the Baby Boomers aging doesn’t account for it.

Dick Cheney: “…Reagan proved that deficits don’t matter.”

He’s right if we’re talking small deficits for a limited period of time, however, as my list shows, our recent deficits have been neither small nor limited. Reagan’s deficit equaled 1.4 trillion over eight years. Obama’s was over five trillion in his first four years.

It seems to me that’s slightly askew. Republicans believe deficits don’t matter when they occupy the Oval Office. When a Democrat resides there deficits are a deadly threat to the republic.

Can’t compete with George W. (Bring ‘Em On) Bush. War under false pretenses, bungled disaster relief, and financial meltdown are a trifecta no other president can beat.

Not one in this country.

The Republican party will undoubtedly need to hire an auto body shop to convert a minivan into a short bus from which its hilarious candidates will pile out for debates.

An Obama 3rd term:
1.Israel nuked
2.Planned Parenthood catering fetus parts at wHite House dinners
3.Government confiscating money in stock market
4.Rocky and Buz legally marrying Fido with Fido getting Obamacare

An Obama 3rd Term – Iran moderates further, becomes strategic partner and solves issue of gas supplies from Russia to Europe, Planned Parenthood unchanged, stock market triples and Flip emerges from the closet – with Tango.

Sadly, you are probably right. I used to laugh at yhe stupid people in Third-World countries who “elected”, again and again, corrupt dictators. I laughed that they didn’t have enough sense to govern themselves. Iraq, pre and post-Saddam, being but one example.

Unfortunately, I have begun to see that the joke was really on me/us. The people of this country who bother to vote, really must be stupid. Time after time, we send back Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Boehner, Graham, and mote, seemingly never paying attention to their blatantly self-serving, greedy, conduct which leads them to do numerous things that are not in the best interests of this country. The majority can tell you more about who the Kartrashians are screwing this week than what their Senator or Representative was doing to screw the voters.

They vote for the name they heard mentioned the most on radio or TV ads the day before. They vote for the party, and what it may have once stood for, never thinking about that person they just voted back in is doing everything he or she can to line his or her own pockets and make life for that voter more difficult.

Then there’s the whole possibility that our votes mean something approximating absolutely nothing, as some of us have long suspected. I cannot disprove that a lot of our “leaders” at all levels, are not chosen somehow by those counting the votes.

By 2020 America’s two party system will have splintered into a multiparty system reflecting our vibrant diversity. POTUS candidates will include, but not be limited to:

Chelsea Clinton
Bill Clinton
Hillary Clinton
George Clinton
Jeb Bush
George P. Bush
Kyle Busch*
Barrack Obama
Michelle Obama
Rick Santorum
Donald Trump
Rand Paul

*Don’t bet against him.

I don’t believe you voted for Obama twice. I think you just made that up, because anyone who has listened to anything other than Fox over the last 8 years, knows There is no president in the last century that can hold a candle to George Bush for fucking this country up.. An unnecessary 3 trillion dollar war and a mini-depression all under one President. When bush left office the country was losing 500k jobs a month.

Obama

Housing prices up
Stock market up
Unemployment down
Annual deficit as a percentage of GDP down
Bin Laden Dead
Inflation under Control
Interests rates low
Created more net jobs in 5 years than Bush did during 8 years..

Anyone who does not believe this economy is way better than when Bush left office is a nut.
