FORMER TEXAS GOVERNOR TROLLS DONALD TRUMP

|| By FITSNEWS || We’ve written extensively in recent days about the forces propelling the 2016 presidential candidacy of Donald Trump … as well as the mass establishment freakout his campaign has spawned.

Trump is a pariah to the left.  And to the media.  And to his rivals for the “Republican” presidential nomination.

Like him or not, Trump has so thoroughly upended the tightly controlled “red versus blue” debate the Washington, D.C. establishment was hoping to have (again) this year, other GOP candidates have been reduced to one-upping themselves with “Trump hate.”

Take former Texas governor Rick Perry, whose 2012 campaign flamed out due to the intellectual limitations of the candidate and whose 2016 bid has gone absolutely nowhere.

Not content with relentlessly trolling Trump on social media, Perry upped the ante this week during a visit to the seat of the empire in Washington, D.C.

“He offers a barking carnival act that can be best described as Trumpism: a toxic mix of demagoguery, mean-spiritedness and nonsense that will lead the Republican Party to perdition if pursued,” Perry said of the surprise frontrunner. “Let no one be mistaken: Donald Trump’s candidacy is a cancer on conservatism, and it must be clearly diagnosed, excised and discarded.”

Whoa …

Writing for liberal website Salon, Simon Maloy pounced on Perry’s remarks.

“I’m all for calling out Trump and saying as many nasty things as can possibly be said about him, but let’s be clear about something,” Maloy wrote.  “Trump isn’t a problem for Republicans because he represents a perversion of conservatism. He’s a problem because he represents conservatism too well.”

Ding.

This is a simple equation: The more GOP establishment figures like Perry assail Trump, the dumber they look – and the more they alienate the voters Trump is inspiring.

Sure, such a strategy may ultimately result in one of them (not Perry) getting the GOP nomination, but haven’t the last two election cycles established the relative worthlessness of that title?

In the meantime, Perry comes off looking more like a stage five clinger than a legitimate critic.

I’ve always suspected Perry of being a Jim Bakker style Theocracy kind of guy. Except instead of a Jessica popping up it would be a Jesse.

Perry, Graham and those lower tier guys are running for ambassadorships. They have no chance at the nomination. They are trying to attack Trump to help out the establishment candidate in exchange for political favors. The Republicans have given us so many “unexcitable” option in recent history from Bob Dole to John McCain that it is pathetic. We are tired of getting the next guy in line. We want the excitable person with a fresh approach that speaks his mind. The democrats won the White House with Obama, in part, because he was not the established candidate. He wasn’t John Kerry and he wasn’t Hillary Clinton. Now, the democrats are trotting out that old nag (Hillary) again and they expect to walk to a victory. The Republicans can’t run another “establishment dead horse” against her.

Honestly, no one in the republican party has a chance, this is just going to be part 3 in the Koch brothers failure to buy it. Every American knows the plan now. What a ass of money to waste.

“but haven’t the last two election cycles established the relative worthlessness of that title?”

Well put. And, it’s going to be very difficult for “The Donald” to try to turn some of the “unfavorability” polls back that he’s created by his bombastic style.

Sure, I love seeing someone kick the establishment in the teeth…but if the goal is to get elected I doubt his path is going to be successful even if he managed win the GOP primary…which to me is doubtful in and of itself.

He just alienates too many people even though he’s got some populist fervor going.

Compare to the wonderful economy of Texas to the horrible fiscal mess Obama has made of our nation. Gov. Rick Perry looks like a Superstar when compared to the failure in chief in there now.

Add to it Perry’s demolishing of the Democrat Party in Texas under his watch, and the Perry deserves LOTS of credit. He’s done a GREAT job as an executive. He turned back the heinous practice of the butcher shop abortion industry, and destroyed the best Democrats in the process.

But unfortunately Perry took the media’s bait to attack fellow-Republican Trump, instead of bashing the media for baiting him. It has cost him any chance. Cruz took the bait, but used it to slam his dirty media aggressors.

Maybe it’s because Perry has managed to TAKE the Hispanic vote from the Democrat Party in Texas, and form a model that would neuter the Democrats nationally. Democrats are praying the Hispanics will save their dying gaggle of miscreants and beggars.

If Perry plays it cool, finds the winner, and endorses him eventually, I’m sure there will be a nice position for him in the GOP presidency of 2016.

That was funny!!!! No matter how hard these wannabes try and emulate Trump, they just can’t get it right. That is because they are walking on eggshells, trying to be politically correct in every word and deed, and Trump really just doesn’t give a shit. He is beholden to no PAC’s, no high dollar campaign contributors, and no lobbyists. I believe he even ssid recently that the only ones he wants to be beholden to are the American people. After decades of wimpy, limp-wristed, lispy, Presidents from both parties, what’s not to love?

The media is TRYING – and failing- to make Perry or Trump, or McCain or Graham the story:

While the country is riveted on:

The Planned Parenthood Scandal (WORSE by far than Todd Akin);

Shiftless, Obama-supported illegal aliens killing and raping our vulnerable contributing citizens in liberal sanctuary cities;

Hillary’s declining stature on a daily basis;

Murdering Jihadist, that Obama will not admit, because he said he had defeated them.

Keep trying to deflect, but it’s not working. We’re paying attention to who you are, and what you are doing.
