AIDE WHO WANTED S.C. ATTORNEY GENERAL’S “BLOOD” HIRED TO ADVISE HOUSE CAUCUS …

|| By FITSNEWS ||  The S.C. House “Republican” Caucus has hired a former Bobby Harrell operative to run its political operation – a move that’s upset some lawmakers given the former Speaker’s documented ethics issues as well as the aide’s history of controversial behavior.

Chris Slick – who made waves last year when he demanded the “blood” of S.C. attorney general Alan Wilson – was hired by House “Republican” caucus executive director Charles Cannon earlier this year.  Slick’s hiring has not been reported because his work is classified by the caucus as an operational – not a campaign – expense.  Also Slick’s name does not appear on the organization’s website.

Hmmmm …

This is Slick’s second stint with the “Republican” caucus.  He was forced to resign from the organization in 2013 following an alcohol-related incident.  Last year, though, is when Slick really made a name for himself … and not in a good way.

As we reported at the time, he was accused of being one of the masterminds behind a network of political websites that went after the attorney general and his wife, Midlands, S.C. hospital executive Jennifer Wilson.

Not only that, he was exceedingly careless in publicizing his desire to go after Wilson – who at the time was pushing the ethics complaint against Harrell.

“I want his ass on a stick,” Slick wrote of the attorney general in a text message obtained by FITS.  “For all to see. He’s (sic) could have stopped this. Karma is a big bitch.”

In another text message, Slick said Wilson “would be punished” for going after Harrell.

“I want blood,” he wrote.

Wow … them’s fightin’ words.

Harrell resigned his post last fall.  Since then, all of the political websites allegedly masterminded by Slick have shut down (or stopped posting content) – although Wilson has reportedly been investigating their funding sources.

This website helped lead the charge against Harrell last year.  And we’ve been exceedingly supportive of Wilson.  Of course we’re becoming very frustrated of late with the lack of forward motion from his office when it comes to prosecuting public corruption.

Anyway, our sources tell FITS that Slick’s hiring isn’t the only tone deaf move made by Cannon in recent months.  Stay tuned for more on that …

Regarding Wilson: I do believe it’s all out of the hands of his office now. I could be wrong. It would not be the first time.

He will fit right in with that job. This is what happens after years of one party rule. Its the way Republican politicians think. They are all corrupt. They have their position because they want to make money and wield power. Its disgusting, but its what our bought and paid for State legislature has become. The people are an afterthought on everything. It is really frightening what our state has turned into.

Today’s Republicans don’t want to govern, today’s Republicans want to rule.

The Dept of Justice is watching Slick’s every move, and monitoring every single phone and in person conversation he has.

Dumb comment. I hate jealous, evil pricks that make up stuff like a 10th grader. STFU unless you have something intelligent to say.

BullS&*#: Jean Toal stopped all these Fed investigations with just a couple of calls to Bill Nettles. This guy is really an old time Democrat. Nothing will ever happen here until Nettles is gone.

We need to quit referring to politicians as Republic or Democrat.I think the word hypocrite or crook fits both parties well. At least this way we wont confuse anyone.

If I may.. Please don’t soil the word,”hypocrite,” whose origin reaches back to the 6th century bce, as a Greek term, meaning “actor.” Say, rather, “do-do-head” – a time-honored term which dates back to the second grade. Thank you.
