Playing the moron card works so well for SC republicans, maybe he just got confused?
He might not be a secret socialist Muslim, but he’s still scary. Only real christian Americans, like me and GrandTango, should run for president. Not sure which one would be the First Companion, but we would figure it out….

I wouldn’t be too dismissive of Romney’s religious notions and their importance: when a man embraces as his core beliefs ideas that would get most civilians a room in a padded cell, it is worth wondering whether his is the mind we want directing internal and foreign policy for our country.

What makes Will so mad about religious appeals, Is that he has the mistaken notion that social/Christian conservatives ignorantly fall for such appeals.
Social/Christian conservatives have higher education levels than most other constituencies and do have critical thinking skills.

If he wants to get elected he should really go protestant.
Every asshole who runs for office these days claims to have prayed on the decision. Some even claim God told them to run. The only difference here is LDS is a minority religion.
I don’t care what his religion is – though many fundamentalist Christians in states such as Ohio do, evidenced by their refusal to either vote for him, or show up at the polls. Like it or not, in purple states, that segment of the vote will not vote for Romney, and the GOP cannot win those swing states unless the Christian Right turns out in large numbers. Just the facts.

Romney wants to be president so that he can practice for when he gets his own planet. I can’t believe that sits well with Southern Baptists who are against dancing because it’s too much like having sex.
