First you post a story about Georgia Cockroaches blumpking the House Speaker now you post a second story about our very own Lt. Governor being blumpkined by a former Lt. Governor
Is there a misprint on my 2015 Calendar – would hate to think I may be missing out on National Blumpkin Day
No, Jim, you are ok because today is officially —–
BUBBLE BATH DAY
So, where the hell does Yancy live?
Is he in Kingstree with his real estate company, at the beach house or Columbia?
Because, by God, if he’s not in Columbia and is planning to commute in a state car and stay overnight at a Columbia motel when he feels like it and get reimbursed for his fucking meals, then I am really pissed off.
He’ll get his free (to him) benefits. Just consider this as his semi-retirement….
How much does that job pay. Normally you include that in your articles.
It’s a cream-puff job that requires only about 12 hours of real attention per week. Just another payoff for loyalty, etc…..
Plus, this will help his state Pension. It is a lot better to use whatever salary at the end of your turn instead of the 10,400 the GA members get. This way his pension will be much higher than it should be when he retires.
Not true. Legislative pension is $36k a year in SC
True and it increases with their expense account!!
Who else ever gets treated this way???!!!
They also start drawing their pension and continue to serve, and are totally vested after only 8 (eight) years!!!
McGill will:
Work few hours a week for $135,000 per year, but he will be available by phone.
Will raise his retirement from around $17,000 to $65,000 per year.
Will have a state car.
Will be yet another Democrat, high level government employee that actually runs the state while the republican office holders live the high life.
No sweat. They all know the voters will continue to elect and reelect them, just like Haley and Sanford, no matter what they do, AT TAX PAYER EXPENSE.
It is the way things work in SC.
The fact that it has not been denied yet shows it is going to happen. Hard to believe that a Republican Lt. Governor is going to place a Democrat in charge of an agency.
Yancey is a Republican in all but name; ALEC member and all.
The ONLY reason he called himself a Democrat is because he inherited his Senate seat in his majority black district from his daddy.
He bailed into the lt. gov. job a few months back because it was becoming unlikely he would continue to be re-elected in that majority black district.
Confirmed by the election of his replacement, Ronnie Sabb.
Heard what he had to say at a legislative delegation breakfast Monday, and was favorably impressed.
He spent money, while head of the Office of Aging, like a drunken soldier. Look into TV’s, stero’s, and other goodies he bought for the Senior Citizen private businesses around the state. it just aint right.
