DOES THE EPA HAVE AN “EMISSIONS” STANDARD FOR THIS?
From the “how did we miss this?” file, Huffington Post had an item up recently about an employee at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who “allegedly downloaded over 7,000 files of pornography on a government computer and watched them two to six hours per day,” according to an internal agency report.
Oh, and the dude – who makes $120,000 a year – didn’t get fired.
“Republicans” naturally went apoplectic, demanding to know exactly how much porn an EPA bureaucrat must watch in order to lose their job.
“Fire him! What’s the question?” U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said during a meeting of the House’s Oversight and Government Reform committee.
Making matters worse, a separate report published last week in The Hill revealed the case of an EPA worker who “pleaded guilty to accessing child pornography in 2012 on a website he used his EPA email to access.”
Yikes …
Naturally, these employees are bad apples … of course they just happen to work at an agency that’s itself a bad apple.

No wonder lawyers and doctors like libertarians – it provides plenty of work… and they don’t have to buy insurance.
Whenever a private company causes egregious harm, out come the lawyers to do what the state does now… make them suffer, and possibly repair the harm that the government is no longer there to prevent… if they’re still alive.
The lawyers are all over the place, punishing companies for selling bad meat (of course without labels, it’s hard to say the buyer wasn’t at fault), selling explosive cars, and using uranium too close to your dog..

I wasn’t here… I was lured here recently by some folks who said it was a target rich environment.
Your first post reminded of the list of names I had been given by a relative (15-20 years ago) who had received it from a guy’s wife who found it in his wallet. As told to me, the wife thought they were code names for women he was fooling around with, and wanted someone to rat him out. They turned out to be names of women he called on a sex phone line. I had forgotten that little fact, so no one on this site would recognize them. Today I decided that it was a stupid post, and threw the names into the trash. I would hate to die and my family found those names — WHEW!
If only everyone in the world was as cool as I. :P
