Dear God, IRS

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

The U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration released a report earlier this week revealing that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has been doling out approximately $90 million a year in cash awards (and half a million hours of paid vacation time) to roughly 70 percent of its 100,000-bureaucrat strong workforce.

You know … because targeting those pesky limited government groups (and covering it up) is commendable, but tiring work.

Course all that bonus cash and time off (in addition to already exorbitant federal salaries and benefits) isn’t the real kicker contained in this report.

According to the report some of those IRS employees who received bonus cash and time off … get this … had tax problems themselves.

“(B)etween October 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012, more than 2,800 employees with recent substantiated conduct issues resulting in disciplinary action received more than $2.8 million in monetary awards, more than 27,000 hours in time-off awards, and 175 quality step increases,” the report found. ” Among these, more than 1,100 IRS employees with substantiated Federal tax compliance problems received more than $1 million in cash awards, more than 10,000 hours in time-off awards, and 69 quality step increases within a year after the IRS substantiated their tax compliance problem.”

In case you were educated in government-run South Carolina school, kindly permit us to provide you with a little bit of “reading comprehension.”

It goes like this: The people who improperly discriminate against you based on your politics – and who can throw you in jail for failing to fork over vast percentages of your income – got bonuses and paid vacation time EVEN IF THEY HAD TAX PROBLEMS OF THEIR OWN.

Astounding …

The latest IRS revelations come just weeks after the U.S. House of Representatives urged the administration of Barack Obama to get busy prosecuting those responsible for the agency’s targeting of limited government organizations.

“Of all the scandals hanging over the Obama administration, its use of the IRS to silence political opposition in advance of the 2012 election – and the subsequent coverup of the scandal – is by far the most egregious,” we wrote earlier this year. “That’s why Obama is doing his best to sweep it under the rug.”

Even knowing that Sic Willie has a great disdain for factual information (it messes up his little stories) I will ask anyway. Exactly what metrics did you use to determine that federal salaries were “exorbitant”? Did you use the General Schedule? What private sector positions did you compare against? Inquiring minds what to know.

Have tax problems as a government worker? OMG TAX DODGER YOU SHOULD BE DRAWN AND QUARTERED!!

Have tax problems as a businessman? Oh the poor fellow is just being crushed under the weight of oppressive, anti-business taxes!

Release all your tax documents for years and years when running for office? Oh, you’re just hiding it better, we all know it, you corrupt bastard! This can’t be everything! Where’s your long form birth certificate? What, you showed us that already? Not good enough!

Release only the tax information you can go back and amend after your run? Oh, well, see, he’s releasing some of it! I’m convinced, he’s not hiding anything whatsoever, nothing to see here! You should vote for him!

Poor don’t pay taxes? Those fucking moocher assholes! They need to be forced to pay so they have some skin in the game! Who cares if they can’t afford to put food on the table as a result! Those assholes better not get discouraged, they better work their asses off even more, for less, and like it! Arrrghghghgh!!!!

Rich don’t pay taxes? Oh, well, you see, those are job creators. If we tax them, they can’t invest or expand to create jobs! We have to let them keep as much as possible, even though they’re already billionaires, because something something jobs something! You don’t want to offend or discourage the rich or hurt their feelings, they’ve earned the right to do whatever they want without fear of criticism!

If your head doesn’t hurt, you might be a Republican.

The IRS ONLY garnishes your wages, takes your savings, (if you have any), and takes your house to collect their pound of flesh. (Unless of course you’re Al Sharpton. Then you get a hug.) Thank God they haven’t adopted the bill collection practices of the BLM!: snipers, drones, and helicopter gunships.

Sounds like incompetence to me, although it would need to be taken on a case-by-case basis. I’m sure the “tax problems” ranged from a wide array of issues, some of which could be understandable, although most probably aren’t excusable.

Of course, why pound the IRS for incompetence when you can pound them for corruption to push another fake scandal just a bit further? Gotta fake that heartbeat so you can pretend the horse you’re beating isn’t actually dead!

Benghazi! Solyndra! Death Panels! Hillary’s fake shoe-throwing and fake grandbaby! Shirtless Putin!

Where I work, being delinquent on paying your personal account to the company is grounds for termination. There is no reason the IRS should not work the same way. A squeaky clean tax return should be condition of employment there.

EXACTLY. You shouldn’t be allowed to enforce the rules if you don’t comply with the rules.

If that were true, almost all SCHP officers would be fired as they violate the posted speed limits almost daily. My understanding is that if they are going to exceed the posted speed limit they must turn on their blue lights, etc.
