So this is pretty funny …
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and one of his 2014 primary challengers, Nancy Mace, posed for a picture together at last weekend’s Citadel homecoming celebration.
Mace was presumably attending the festivities because she’s the first woman ever to graduate from the previously all-male military institution. Graham was presumably attending because he’s looking to shore up his own, um, “military credentials.”
Anyway, the snap was quickly posted to the website BenSwann.com, which has been aggressively promoting the campaign of S.C. Sen. Lee Bright (R-Spartanburg) – another of Graham’s primary challengers.
“Perhaps Mace is attempting to end the mud-slinging,” the website notes. “Risky, but intriguing move by Mace.”
Hmmmmm …
Our guess is both candidates were just being civil … and there will be plenty of mud-slinging to come.

What is interesting is that Sic never mentions that her father was commandant during her stay at the Citadel.
Who here thinks that if Mace was not his chosen candidate he would be beating that point to death?
To hear her side of the story, she said she applied without telling her dad, that he advised her not to attend, and he went out of his way not to show preferential treatment for or against her.
Otherwise, valid point and good question.
Fortunately, she’s not just an anti-Lindsay candidate. She would probably make a very good, if not great Senator.

Agreed. He was on WVOC just last week and spent most of the time talking about “Bengahzi”. (and still not talking calls, only questions by the hosts or via e-mail, he knows there’s a small % of mad/uncontrollable electorate that could blister his ass on air)
Even if it was a massive screw/cover up, wouldn’t you think that there are more pressing issues to talk about?
He’s put himself in a cage of his own design though.
Can he talk about being fiscally conservative? No.
Can he talk about being conservative in foreign policy in order to save money/lives? No.
Can he talk about the virtues of a limited government over that of its current ever expanding role? No.
There’s much more he can’t talk about, because even though he’s going to win re-election, the above topics(and others) all are potential funny bombs that could explode in his face if used by even the most dull of candidate/contenders in a debate.
The thing that Lindsey has to avoid the most during this primary(because we all know the general goes to a Republican), is his own record.
A nod and a wink is sufficient for most Dems because they all know he’s their only hope for at least SOME progressive policy support on occasion via the “reach around” the aisle philosophy. Oops, I meant “across”.
So it’ll be vague “conservative” topics that he doesn’t have to defend his record on, like Benghazi, abortion, “family values”(because no candidate is going to call him a homosexual), etc. et al.

I get why Mace was there, she made the mistake of attempting to get an education there but why Lindsey? The Citadel was one of the smaller homecomings this weekend and he already gets “cred” with all the other Reservist and National Guardsman the Citadel produces from his own service (despite Sic Willies attempts to castigate him for it).

Attacks against Sen Bright, who is polling higher than all the other candidates combined as one, including Nancy Mace, is an attack to keep Sen Graham in office.
