In case you haven’t noticed, South Carolina has been getting a little bit of rain lately. Actually that’s an understatement: It’s been raining cats and dogs in this state, people. And when it’s not raining, it’s been that muggy in-your-face heat that’s so irrepressible.
During an average year, the Palmetto State gets about 48 inches of precipitation – including approximately 4-6 inches per month during June and July.
So far this year we’re at 44.7 inches (through yesterday) – and that doesn’t count today’s deluge. July is already at 5.4 inches – and we’re only four days into the month.
Seriously … is it time to build an ark?
We don’t have a meteorologist on staff (yet) but as soon as we find a blond bimbette with marginal teleprompter-reading ability, we’ll be sure to let you know what’s causing the skies to open the way they have been.
Our guess? Global warming … because everyone knows no matter what the weather is doing, it’s probably global warming’s fault, right?
Yeah … that’ll work.

My father told me that back in his day the farmers blamed every weather inconvenience or anomaly on “them A-bombs!”

Climate change, not global warming. I bet those poor people in the Southwest would love our rain right now.
Exactly – we went from “global warming” to “climate change” when the models started disagreeing, just as we left the “coming ice age” that was quite the rage in the 70’s (with some of the same research groups, by the way) when those facts went sideways. Anyone who has studied geological history knows that this planet’s atmosphere has seen numerous upheavals, some of which came about relatively quickly (in geological terms, anyway). Floods, droughts, mean temperature changes: all old stories. Amazingly enough, most of these upheavals occurred well before the industrial age…
Our climate is changing, and it will continue to do so forever. And no, I don’t want to fight about it- if you sincerely believe my SUV (and Al Gore’s private jet, mansion, etc.) are to blame, good on you. You vote for your folks, and I’ll vote for mine.
Yeah, it was global warming until things started getting cold and rainy. Britian wasn’t supposed to have any more snow and the poor children wouldn’t know what snow was. We must have a carbon exchange to “save the children”. Fuck, we do everything to “save the children”. Al saint of Gore says so.
So, now, if it’s hotter’n hell or colder’n hell or in between, it’s climate change. Can’t win for losing, unless you’re in on the exchange.,

Its Obama’s fault. Ask Big T.
Correct. All bad weather is Obama’s fault.
Why not? It was Katrina was Bushy’s, right? ;)
Time to investigate NOAA?

It’s GOD trying to cleanse the State of all the corrution caused by the lexington Ring . The purity of the rain will wash away the STINCH smell of those slut women too.
It has been smelling a lot like rotten fish in lexington for a while.
Pro Tip:
Unless you are BigT/GrandTango….please correctly spell words that you write in ALL CAPS.
STENCH, dammit.
Psst, God, might want to reach for the bleach. Water doesn’t wash out the skid marks in tighty whities!

When i was younger,I worked construction, and sometimes we stayed in motels. One weekend ,the construction foreman wanted to stay with me because he’d, ‘heard things’.His dick was too big for his wife to suck, and it was a case of;’be careful what you wish for’,and it became a regular thing, especially on rainy weekends, and being a married man,of course,he was a bottom(they all love it up the butt),and riding his ass while holding onto that 15 inches of thick love,well….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK3wm2AVbdY

All this rain is just another way of showing our thanks to our brave men and women in uniform.

Let’s not forget the last several years when we had drought conditions. This is the 1st time I’ve seen Lake Hartwell at full stage for a while.
